BQSTUDIO: Generating golden image for "Bq34z100 g1" using EV2400.

Hi Experts,

I have started working on power management solution for one of our product,
there I'm willing to use Bq34z100 G1.

So on very first step of generating the golden image.
i have found this H/W connections on EV2400 user guide.

I would like to know which type of protection circuit here required with the charger/load..?
just a fuse or any other specific protection circuit of TI or what or it can be left as optional.

moreover may i have some guides to step by step procedure of generating the golden image,
for Bq34z100 g1 using EV2400.

and this current, voltage and temperture calibration is prier steps of charging discharing cycles

one more query like after successful generation of  golden image, how can i burn the same in other Bq34z100G1 chips left in spare. 


TPS65381A-Q1: WD_FAIL_CNT in DIAG when Writing WD_WIN1_CFG

Hi,

My customer reported when they write to WD_WIN1_CFG and WD_WIN2_CFG in DIAG, the WD_FAIL_CNT changes to 7 from 5 when it goes to ACTIVE, this forces them to make two good events to decrease the CNT to 5 when it just goes to ACTIVE, is this the normal process? If not, any suggestion for me to debug this issue? Thanks.

I use battery fuel gauge ic with i.mx6 solo dual. i use bq27xxx linux i2c driver(bq27xxx_battery.c) of ti. my ic name is bq27542.i have below confusions while writing code on qtcreator in c++.

1. i want to get percentage of charge of battery(which shows 0 % ,1%,2%.....100% according current battery charge). so which register i have to read. i go through datasheet and technical manual but i not understand which register i have to read.

2. in driver smooth en bit is 0 or 1 for bq27542. i  does not get is it 1 or 0.

3. to understand in short which operation i have to read and from where in which section and at what index.

LM3489: LM3489 circuit suggestion for type C- PD

My customer is designing the PD type-c power using LM3489.

They have put L30 to reduce the ripple noise at light load.

They would like to consult with you whether they can change the voltage feedback pin from ahead of L30 into behind of L30.

Is there any side effect that we will need to concern? Thanks.

Hi

I have a question about TPS54625.
Current limit threshold is written 7.2A(min), 8.2A(typ) and 9.5A(max) at L=1.5uH in  ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS.
If I change the inductor value, how does it's acuuracy change?
Or are there the data or calculation method changing inductor value?

Hello

Doorbell application, 5000mAh Li Battery,do you have any lowcost fuel gauge IC reccomend ?

Competitor is Cellwise CW2015, its normal mode power consumption is 15uA, SLEEP MODE 1uA; 3% max SOC error.

  I promote BQ27426 firstly, but it normal mode 50uA,sleep mode 9uA.and need external resistor,  it seems no advantage.

Do you have higher cost performance part to introduce ?

I have started working for BMS in our working product, i have chosen Bq34z100-g1,
I have some query regarding the same, My battery parameter is mentioned below

Please have a look
Chemistry : LiFePO4
No. of cells in series : 8
Charge Voltage : 28,800v
Capacity : 19800mAh
Taper Current : 400mA
Termination Voltage : 21200mV
Design Energy : 50688
Design Voltage: 25600mV
Tap current 400mA
Current at EOC : 400mA
Current threshold quit current : 200mA


Step 1 : In BQStudio, i have selected the chemical id of battery

Step 2 : While I'm filling the Configurations under Data Memory, getting error of max. value reached and some times no update on data.
specially while I'm filling Design Energy sometimes giving error of data gone beyond limit, sometimes not.


Moreover if one can assist with proper sequence of learning process with such battery parameters is highly appreciable,
looking forward to hear from you

UCC28061: Can UCC28061 or UCC28070 be used for circuit design to boost low DC voltage?

I am considering a booster circuit with an input DC voltage of 36V, an output DC voltage of 300V, and 3kW.
Is it possible to design with UCC28061 or UCC28070?
If this is not possible, please let me know an alternative IC.
I would also like to know the design method using the IC. I especially want to know how to design inductors and capacitors.

BQ24072T: No output voltage if no battery - empty battery not charging

Hi,

I have a questions about the BQ24072T :

  1. I don't have output = Vbat + 225mV as datasheet say.
    1. Actually, with a Vout = Vbat

  2. If I only put the Vin, (no battery) Vout is approx 600mV, If I put a battery and remove the battery, Vout is ok (about 4.1V)
  3. If my battery are empty, BQ does'nt charge them (Vbat of 600mV).

My design :

Vbob = 5V

Vbat is a 3.7V li ion battery

Vreg = the output

I try with EN2 conneced to Vbob : same result

a customer has the following issue:

"We currently have a problem with a LED driver. We have several identical circuits with the attached schematic. Unfortunately only one of them runs as expected, the others get extremely hot but don't work. Now we don't know if we have a soldering problem or if the dimensioning of the circuit is so at the edge that it's a gamble.

The LED strings consist of 4 and 6 white LEDs with 2.9V - 4.1V flux voltage.

Can you review the schematic attached?"

TPS51200: Query related to the TPS51200 VTT specification

As per the datasheet page no 14, JEDEC VTT specifications for DDR and DDR2 (JEDEC standard: DDR JESD8-9B May 2002; DDR2 JESD8-15A Sept 2003) mentioned as

                                          VVTTREF – 40 mV < VVTT < VVTTREF + 40 mV

Is this limits +/-40mV still applicable for DDR4 too. Please confirm?

LM76003-Q1: 9-36V input, 12V output, when the input is lower than 12V, how does the device work?

Dear team,

The input voltage is 9V-36V, and the nominal voltage is 24V. The expected output is 12V. When the input is lower than 12V, in my understanding the high side mosfet will be always on, right? At this time, the duty cycle will keep the largest value, and the output is a little smaller than the input, right? Is there any risk when doing this?
