Part Number: TPS65131

Dear support teams,

Q1. Is TPS6513x EVM available now?
Q2. What are VFBP and VFBN? Why are they defined?
Q3. Does output voltage accuracy have any relationship with VFBP and VFBN? If it does, could you let me know the relationship for Total Output DC accuracy, VFBP and VFBN?

Best Regards,
Hirokazu

TPS63806: TPS63806 ocp limit

Part Number: TPS63806

Hello,

we use TPS63806 to drive TEC, just as TIDA-050017's solution, found that during Vin=3.3V, Vout=4V, Io>0.7A, the output current become unstable as below waveform, it's measured by current sensing probe, we doubt it hit the OCP limit.

So what's the accuracy OCP limit value? and the OCP protection mechanism?

TPSM84624: Synchronization (CLK) mode

Part Number: TPSM84624

Hi there,

The TPSM84624 datasheet says that "Select RRT to set the frequency close to the external synchronization frequency.". I have a couple of questions here.

1. How much close should it be?

2. What will happen if external synchronization frequency is not close to the switching frequency set by RRT?

Thanks & BR,
Ghasem

TPS3808: Nominal supply voltage and threshold voltage

Part Number: TPS3808

Hi Team,

I plan to use the TPS3808G25 but will supply it with 3.3 V. Would that be OK? The nominal supply voltage says 2.5 V but I guess 3.3 V should also be OK.

Please let me know.

Hello,

Could you tell me what is the main purpose of D1 and D2 in Figure 54 schematic in P27 of the datasheet(SLVSET8A)?
Are these D1 and D2 optional?
Do we have any recommended part number for them when VIN is 5V rail?

BQ78350-R1: There is a problem in the bq78350-r1 device .

Part Number: BQ78350-R1

Dear  All

I use bq7963000 + bq78350-r1 device, and the 2.5V power of bq78350-r1 is from REGOUT pin of bq7693000.

When I test the board in environment which is 60 degree and 90% humidity, after 168 hours, I find there are four boards of six boards, which the bq78350-r1 cannot work normal, and the bq7693000 device is very hot, I find the REGOUT pin is only 0.9V, the normal is 2.5V voltage.

       1. Did you encounter the similar problem ? How to solve this problem ?

       2. If you don't encounter, could you tell what condition that will lead to this problem on the bq78350-r1 ?

there is a ringing noise present at both outputs. how to reduce that?

Part Number: TPS23755

Hi team,

My customer want to use the TPS23755 to design a buck converter, Vin 36~57V,Vout  24V 1A. In my opinion, the mosfet cannot stand such a high current.

So if the voltage is like this, how many load current it can support? If the 23755 cannot support, do we have other solutions with PD? Thanks.

TPS7B7702-Q1: Hysteresis, current-sense fault condition, ERR output low test condition, Short-to-battery condition

Part Number: TPS7B7702-Q1

Hello team,

Could you please answer my 4 questions?

Q1: The device should turn on above 4.4V because it has 0.4V hysteresis. But in TINA simulation it turned on at 4.5V. Could you explain why there is 0.1V voltage gap?

Q2: Which pin 'current-sense fault condition current' flows? Sense pin? then, it's too high.

Q3: Which pin is the I_sink=5mA flowing? Could you explain about the test condition?

Q4: Is there any method for TPS7B7702-Q1 to check short-to-battery when it doesn't go over threshold voltage?

Thank you.

Oliver Kim

BQ24630: PG PIN blinking, charge very low

Part Number: BQ24630

Hello,

I was making a board by using the reference design, it's for 6s LiFEPO4 battery 21.6V voltage, with 24V DC adapter as the charging source.

When I use 24V DC supply to charge the battery, the PG pin flashes in a 100ms frequency, charge current is only 30mA.

When I bump the voltage to around 27V, everything is stable, charge current goes back to normal (ISET1), around 1A.

If I use the same setup on the EVM board, it's normal.

I wonder what causes this.

I attached the design files in eagle format, here is screenshot of schematics.

TPS62823: Absolute Maximum Ratings (SW node) at DCM.

Part Number: TPS62823

Hi Expert,

My customer have a question about SW node absolute max.

They found the following waveform that is over voltage Vin+0.3V(ABS MAX) on SW node and over 10ns.

Also, It seems, Body diode of High side FET turned on, because SW voltage is clumped by around 5.7V.

Conditions, Vin=5.1(max), Vout=3.3V

I think, it is oscillation by inductance and LSFET capacitance at inductor current = 0A.

Does customer need to improve this waveform? (Regarding ABX max. this oscillation is normal behavior.)

Customer tried to change inductor from 1.0uH to 0.47uH. Oscillation frequency became higher. however maximum voltage was not improved.

Customer tried to reduce SW node parasitic capacitance by PCB layout cut. However, it is not solved.

Does this waveform any problem for system reliability?

Probe for this waveform.

Thanks,

Muk

TPS63070: Ripples in input with ferrite bead.

$

Part Number: TPS63070

Hi Team,

I have simulated buck/boost converter circuit with TPS63070RNMR in TINA TI. When I used ferrite bead in the input, I observe ripples in the input waveform (In schematic, VIn:5 node) after ferrite bead for both transient and steady state analysis.

My questions are:

1. Is it suggested to use ferrite bead in input. Because I don’t see any ripples at input supply without ferrite bead.

2. If yes, please suggest me a best way to reduce the ripples after ferrite bead in input to IC.

3. If no, please let me know the disadvantages of not using.

I have attached the simulation results and my schematic for reference.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ram Sai.
