UCD90120A: Failure During Importing Project File to Device

Part Number: UCD90120A

I am getting the below error log when doing the Importing To Device in TI Fusion GUI. I Clear Configuration and retry the Importing, but I still consistently getting the same error.

Below is the error log:

I later delete Rail#7 onwards from the project file and retry the process without getting any Writing to Device error. Just want to understand, why does the Writing to Device fail on specific rail every time I re-program the device? Can anyone suggest me way to troubleshoot this? I attached the full log here.(Please visit the site to view this file)

Hi,

My customer use UC2844 in their new design, 346VDC input,24V2ADC output. during the test, They found the Vds voltage of the MOS is up to 770V. They don't know the root cause and how to lower this voltage. below is the schematic, transformer spec and Vds waveform. please kindly give your suggestion. thanks.

Hi Team,

I hope you can help our customer's inquiry.

Question:

Is it possible to change the D+/D- by DP_DAC / DM_DAC when input source (VBUS) is not connected and the OTG mode is disabled?

We would like to use D+/D- as outputs for other usages in our system.

Thank you in advance

SM3320-BATT-EV: Charge profile implementation in SM3320-BATT-EV

Part Number: SM3320-BATT-EV

Hi,

I am working with SM3320-BATT-EV MPPT solar charger to charge 36V Li-Po battery. SM3320-BATT-EV is programmed to charge 12V lead acid battery out of box. I went through the charge profile and I2C driver of SM3320. I want to know what are changes to be done in software part to charge a 36V Li-Po battery.

Also, I have one particular doubt while going through the source code.  Under check_Lead_Acid_internal() function of Charge profile, why the variable battery_volt has been compared with both decimal and as well with hex value, what does that mean? Please let me know.

For Eg. if(battery_volt>103) & if(battery_volt>0x40)

Thanks & Regards,

Rajesh R

TLC59116: Fast Transient Burst test issue

Part Number: TLC59116

Good morning,

In my application, I'm using one TLC59116 16 channel led driver and one TLC59108 8 channel led driver.

There is a Main PCBa (microcontroller + power supply + ...), a Top PCBa (TLC59116 with 16 led) and a Bottom PCBa (TLC59108 with 3 ledl), connected with 80mm cables (not shielded).

The IC led driver are supplied @+3v3 and the led common signal @+5v.

Following you could find the schematic.

During the EMC test (Fast Transient Burst), I encountered a problem where, the comminucation between the MCU and one of the two led driver (the TLC59116), was blocked.

Only removing the main power supply e power on again, the system started to worke correctly.

What I would double check is, if the pull-up values on SDA/SCL/RESET signal are correct, if the capacitor on the IC main supply are correct, if I need to add something else to protect/get more robust

the configuration. Please note that, for the SDA/SCL I2Cbus signal, I used two couple of pull-up ressitor (one copule on the first IC driver and one copuple on the second IC driver) so, the final pullìup

ressitor value was 4K7 // 4K7  =  2K35

Thanks in advance

Alessio

Hi Team,

For the common parts reason, I'd like to use buck or boost converter be used as SEPIC topology

1. Can non-sync. buck converter be used as SEPIC or inverting boost topology?

2. Can non-sync. boost converter be used as SEPIC topology?

Thank you.

TPS7A66-Q1: The Reset Delay Timer of TPS7A6633

Part Number: TPS7A66-Q1

Hello,

I've measured the Vout vs Powergood timing as attachment, and the delay time is about 7ms. My delay capacitor value is 0.01uF, I am not sure if the result is good or not. Because from the equation: Tct=Cct*1V/1uA, the Tct should be 10ms.

By the way, the EN pin pull-high resistor to Vin is 100k ohm, is it too high?

Thanks,

Nick.

TPS7A26: TPS7A26 thermal simulation

Part Number: TPS7A26

Hi, Team.

Could you simulate how much thermal would be with below condition?

・Vin:12.7±4%

・Vout:5.0V

・Iout:250mA

・ambient temp:70℃

as my calc, (12.7-5)*0.25*73.3=141℃+ 70℃=211℃

Customer wants to know how much is the thermal resistance and how much thermal IC generates with specific soldering coverage from -% ~ 100% to know how much they need to make soldering at least.

could you show the graph which shows the thermal resistance from 0% ~ 100% soldering coverage on its flip side ?

Part Number: LM5140-Q1

LM5140-Q1, datasheet ,page 31,

8.2.2.6 MOSFET selection

equation 47,  Pdhs = (IOUT*IOUT*Rds(on)*Dmax)+1/2*VIN*(tr+tf)*IOUT*fsw

calculate with this equation, I‘ll have a very big Watt value.

consider with the thermal parameter of the MOSFET,this became very hard.

also, at this equation ,1/2*VIN*(tr+tf)*IOUT*fsw  != 1/2*Rds(on)*IOUT*IOUT*(tr+tf)*fsw.

can you explain this problem?

Part Number: TPS61089

Hi

I am using TPS61089 as power supply of TAS2770 audio amplifier.

The vout is 12.6V, Io max is about 1A.

Currently, I meet a unkonw issue.

when I play audio file(totally is about 5 seconds),

a.  if the volunm adjust to middle, it can play music normally,

b.  if t the volumn adjust to MAX, it can't play music(it can hearding music about 0.5 seconds).

I tried to ues external power supply  to replace TPS61089 then re-do the item b, it can play music normally.

I thinks it should be protect by something, but I don't know how to find out where the promble is.

Please help me to solve this issue.

Thanks,

Edgar

Part Number: UCC21530

Hi,

In the figure below, what does the load represent?

Is it the bypass capacitor (low ESR, low ESL) placed across VDDA and VSSA, or is it the Ciss  input capacitor of the MOSFET(i mean the equivalent capacitance which is the combination of gate-source and gate-drain capacitance)?

Many thanks in advance.
