WEBENCH® Tools/TPS54620: Low frequency gain

Part Number:TPS54620

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi,

When Bode Plot was simulated with Webench, Low Freq Gain = 52.454 dB.
It seems that the target value of this device is set to 60 dB (min) to 100 dB (max), but is there a problem with this result?
If Yes, what are the concerns? Also, which value will I adjust to improve?

Best regards,
Yuto Sakai

Hi,

Data Sheet P.18 A circuit example of Negative Boost type is shown in Figure 25.
How should I decide the peripheral constant of this circuit?
Is there an application note that describes the design policy?

Part Number:LP8758-E0

Hi,

The following information is listed in the "Current" column of the absolute maximum rating of datasheet P.5.
"Current on power pins (average current over 100k hour lifetime, Tj = 125°C"

Is this the specification of the average current value when operating 100 k or more at 125°C?
What is it when Tj = 100°C,108°C,110°C?

Best regards,
Yuto Sakai

I am planning to use the LM34926 isolated BUCK in a non-isolated BUCK configuration.  Is this acceptable to do.  I do not need isolation so I will be using only VOUT1 shown on the first page of the component data sheet.

UCD3138: UCD3138, DPWM0A maximum duty cycle

Part Number:UCD3138

Hello, We are using UCD3138 for a DC/DC forward converter. The converter is working as expected. The only issue we have is we cannot increase the maximum duty cycle of the switch. For some reason, it doesn't exceed 48-49%. The OUTPUT_CLAMP_HIGH is set to 0.85 * PERIODE. PERIOD is 40000 and dead time is 3000. KCOMP0 is also set to PERIOD >> 2. What would possibly be limiting the maximum duty cycle in closed loop? Urgent response is highly appreciated.

Thanks

BQ27510-G3: command to turn off default sleep

Part Number:BQ27510-G3

My customer would like the BQ27510-G3 to never enter sleep mode and maintain constant i2c communication with their local MSP430.  Will clearing default sleep=1 for Op Config [SLEEP] = 1 perform this task?  Or is there more to configure?

Thanks,

Dan

UCC24630EVM-636: Modifications for higher power

Part Number:UCC24630EVM-636

Hello,

We successfully modified this board to increase the output voltage from 19.5V to 24V by changing the feedback resistors, the secondary side rectification resistors, and adjusting the OVP appropriately. This circuit had a maximum load of 3A.

The customer is now interested in increasing the load current to 4A. What changes are required to ensure the circuit can operate safely at this power level?

I noted that these components were in the power path:

  1. F1: 3.15A on the input should be fine
  2. L1: Can't find datasheet online
  3. D1: 3A limit should be fine
  4. L2: 7A limit should be fine
  5. T1: Datasheet says saturation happens at 3.2A. This could be a problem?
  6. Q3: Has plenty of current capability
  7. Q1: Has plenty of current capability

Can you please let me know which components could be damaged at 4A output current? I'm mostly worried about the transformer performance. Could you recommend an alternative?

Ryan B.

LM2621: high-frequency audible noise

Part Number:LM2621

HI

My client is currently in circuit configuration with the LM2621.
Circuit specifications are as follows.
VIN: 3.7V to 4.2V (BAT)
VOUT: 5V
IOUT: 300mA
The circuits are circuit based on the webench tool.

The problem is that in no-load condition, high-frequency audible noise is generated in the inductor.
If a load of about 50mA is applied, no audible noise will occur.
However, since the battery is used, the load resistance can not be applied to the output stage.
We changed the frequency by changing the RT resistance, and applied the inductor to 4.7uH ~ 15uH. But I could not solve the problem.
Is there a solution to the problem?

Part Number:TPS22810-Q1

Dear Support team

(1)Seeing datasheet 5P,IEN/UVLO is max 0.1uA.(I think this is sink current)
Could you teach EN/UVLO pin voltage set up of this parameter test?

(2)My customer use Vin=3.3V,EN/UVLO=5V.
Is EN/UVLO current increase in this condition? If possible, please give internal equivalent circuit.

UCC2818A: Application to synchronize both UCC2818A and LM5033 from an external clock

Part Number:UCC2818A

Hello,  Application team,

A customer is using UCC2818A (PFC part) and LM5033 (DC / DC part) in their AC-DC power supply module now.

And  they want to inject a logic clock signal from the outside in a new model and synchronize the switching frequency of both ICs.
At that time, they would like to achieve it with switching frequency of PFC and DC/DC = 1: 2, 100 kHz: 200 kHz or 90 kHz: 180 kHz.

According to the datasheet of both ICs,  LM5033 seems to be synchronized by applying an external pulse to the RT/SYNC terminal, but UCC2818A seems that it doesn't have the function to achieve the operation.

Is there any application example for synchronizing UCC2818A and LM5033  with the ratio of switching frequency above from an external logic clock?

Best regards,

H.Someno

LP5569: I2C fall time out of specification

Part Number:LP5569

Hello

When customer verify the signal integrity of I2C, they find that the fall time of I2C is out of specification.

The specification of I2C fall time is MIN. 15+0.1Cb of LP5569. They get the result is 13.37ns.

Customer don't see the failure for I2C communication but they want to know whether TI has any concern for the small fall time which doesn't meet I2C specification the minimum 15 + 0.1Cb (ns) or not.

If TI doesn't have any concern about the small fall time on I2C.  Has any reliability risks due to this small fall time? Maybe damage or shortened lifetime, Thank you.

UCC256301: About suitable device for Non-PFC

Part Number:UCC256301

Hi Team,

Our customer doesn’t use PFC for application.

Then, could you please let us know the best solution for Non-PFC (UCC256301 or 2 or 3 or 4)?

And, I have one more question.

They would like to use UCC25630x at AC120V and AC240V.

Then, they would like to control a peak output power at AC120V and AC240V in less than 10%.

(For example, if Peak output power at AC120V is 20W, AC240V is 22W.)

I understand that UCC25630x can adjust over current protection value.

Could you please let us know if you have any idea?

Regards,

Kanemaru
