bq20z95

We are using the bq20z95 chipset on a system. During initial builds of the systems, the chipsets were programmed with lifetime data updates turned on, and the boards were tested to ensure alarms and limits were being detected and acted upon correctly. During this testing, lifetime data was updated with the extreme test values.

This was noticed by one of our customers, and we have been looking at this data to see if we can reset those values to expected nominal values. On one of the systems, the lifetime data has been reset to nominal values manually through the evaluation software. What we find, however, is that when we run the system, those lifetime data values return to the numbers recorded when the boards were undergoing limit testing.

Is the lifetime data stored in an secondary location that cannot be overwritten and will reset the data seen in flash data if it is manually overwritten?
