bq30z55 and bq Evaluation Software

I'm running bq Evaluation Software v0.9.92 and an EV2300 connected via SMbus to a custom PCB based on the bq30z55(my device:550_0_36_3_0034) application circuit.


1. When I first run bq Evaluation Software, it usually won't auto-detect. It provides a list of devices to select from, two of which are bq30z55:
bq30z55R2v0.34(Dev:550,Ver:034)-550_0_34
bq30z55 v033(Dev:550,Ver:0.33)-550_0_33


Which one should I use?


2. When I select one of those devices, the following message appears: "The detected device is not compatible with this application!"

What does this message mean, other than the obvious?


3. Where can I find the latest firmware for the bq30z55? I didn't see any links to it on the device web page.
