Learning cycle for bq27010

Hi

I am using bq27010 gas gauge for one of my project. The battery am using for the project is Li-Polymer with 600mAh.  I want to show the charge status in the LCD.when i put a new battery at first the gauge shows 100%.but the battery capacity is not in that level.So i want to know the leaning cycle of bq27010.

How to learn when i put new battery?
