Over temperature protection is not working in BQ78350

I have just started using the IC in my own PCB. Over voltage protection is working fine but when I over heat temperature sensor while there is a discharge current the current continues to flow. Attached screenshot for clarity. Also please note that I had used FET_ON function to start discharging (is that any problem in doing that?) The OT bit becomes high when temperature crosses 60 degree mark.
