Samsung EB-L1G6LLU Chemistry ID

I am using bq27500 gas gauge with an EB-L1G6LLU battery, 2100mAh.

As I cannot see this listed in the TI Chemistry selection table I am attempting a chemistry selection test but without success so far. Has anyone determined a chemistry ID for this cell ?

For anyone else embarking on the chemistry selection test let me share my failures so that you may avoid making the same mistakes.

1. bqEASY crashed on stage 2 (discharge from 100% to 60%) with divide by zero error. I believe this was due to not having all of the check boxes ticked in the steps before starting the chemistry selection test. With all boxes ticked, the problem has not been seen again.

2. Laptop power saving. Make sure you disable all power saving modes if using a laptop !

3. Battery discharged to near 0V during stage 3 (discharge from 60% to 10% ?), even though pop-up window displayed 39% RSOC. My theory on why this happened (please feel free to correct me) is that although I had nominal capacity of 2100mAh correctly set in the data flash, this capacity is not achievable when discharging at C/5. I have now reduced Qmax from 2100mAh to 1391mAh (value obtained during a previous learning cycle) and am starting the test a 4th time.

I will post my results in due course, by sharing our experiences we may all be able to finish work a little earlier.
