Hi Everyone,
I am trying to program and calibrate a bq27501 that I have included in a breadboard I am designing. I am having issues when trying to calibrate it through the bqEASY software. First of all, when reading data using and Aardvark I have no problems which makes me think that the hardware is correct (and the data received - like voltage and temperature - are the correct ones).
The first problem is faced when opening bqEASY. Sometimes I see a large amount of different errors regarding communication issues upon opening it. When finally I'm able to open it with proper communication I have the following problems:
- I cannot program Dataflash Image on step 1B of bqEASY. It says that communication with the target device cannot be established (even though under "DataRAM" I have communication).
- Under calibration I can do "CC Board Offset Calibration" but I cannot proceed with "Calibrate Parts as indicated below": "Could not enter calibration mode". There must be communication since the values of Voltage, Temperature and Current vary according to what I can measure with a multimeter (and the temperature seems to be the room temperature).
- Under "Data Flash", when clicking "Read all" all the values of all the tabs are 0. If I try to change any value by clicking the corresponding box and writing a value and pressing <Enter> I have the following message: "Error Writing to dataflash!"
I would like to know what the problem is, and I would really appreciate any help on this.
Thank you very much to everyone!
