TLV760: Use case of the input voltage changing

Hello,

I have a question if there is any concern on TLV760(Vout=5V) when an use case of the input voltage changing 24V to 8V (8V to 24V as well) in step response is occurred in the system.

I also have another question about thermal protection. It looks from the data sheet that the thermal protection doesn't shutdown the output immediately, is it correct?

BQ40Z80: abnormal operation in charging and discharge

Hi,

There is abnormal operation in charging and discharging.

cell is 6 series 2 parallel and 3400mAh.

Designed capacity is 6800mAh

charge1: charge.csv

FCC is quite different from designed capacity.

Even though long time charging, full charging flag is not set.

Discharge: discharge.csv

remaining capacity goes to 0 from 2807mAh suddenly and FCC is updated from 4301 to 1495.

With continuous discharging, FCC is updated up to 3794.

charge2: charge_1.csv

charging is stopped periodically. CHGC and CTOS is triggered during this operation.

Does TI have a four-channel overvoltage and overcurrent protection chip?

Dear Teams,

Does TI have a four-channel overvoltage and overcurrent protection chip?

My requirements of the protection chip are listed as follows.

Input voltage range: 2.5v - 5.5V

number of channel: four ports

CC ports can provide 600 mA pass-through capability

Chip protection function: overvoltage protection

The maximum input voltage >=20V

OVP protection point: CC1/CC2: ~6V                         SBU1/SBU2: ~ 4.5v

Maximum conduction current CC: 600mA

Conduction impedance Ron_CC<500mohm

 

I looked on TI.com and couldn't find the right chip. In addition, I even haven't found any  voltage protection chip with four channel at all.

Dear team, Do you have any chip recommendations?

BQ51050B: How to improve the wireless distance

Hi, I have used the following electical schematic to recharge my LiPo battery. The used coil is WURTH model 760 308 103 206 as indicated in your bill of material

The problem is that to ensure the communication between a standard Qi Tx and my WURTH coil, the distance must be 1 mm or less. This distance is too small. How Can I improve this distance (for example to 4 mm or more) only changing any capacitors.

Becasue of I want to use a 300mAh LiPo battery capacity, can you indicate the correct value of R12, R14 and R15?

Our customer is reviewing if bq27421-G1 turns into Shutdown mode in order to system power consumption minimize.

Is this the effective way to keep accurate Gauging in low power operation. Is my understanding correct all of the leaning data is initialized in such use case and it results from inaccurate gauging in the end.

UC3846: Output Frequency Issue

1. As per frequency calculation formula for uc3846 our circuit output should be 20KHz but we were getting 16.5KHz.

2. Now, considering 16.5KHz we were using this circuit but within last year we observed that with same value of Rt and Ct, for some ICs frequency is reduced more than 16.5KHz like 15.5KHz to 14.5KHz

TWL80125,does it can support LDO for 2.8V and 350mA

I use TWL80125 to supply mobile phone camera

the camera need one LDO that 2.8V and 350mA

we don't sure that the TWL80125 can support 350mA and do not give rise to protection

BQ34Z100-G1: inaccurate measurement of the battery

Hi Team

My customer using two BQ34Z100-G1 in their board for gauging two 10S4P 9600mAh battery packs.

After configuring the bq34z100, the customer has noticed that the battery reading is not correct.

please find attached two charging logs and you can see how the SOC reaches 76% it jumps to 100% and also the current charging drops before time.

could you please advise what can cause this issue and how we can solve it

Secondly, could you please advise if this device has an additional safety feature to limit the battery output current?.

I have a question about a reference design called PMP11186  .This design outputs two voltages, one positive and one negative.The negative voltage is abnormal.When the negative voltage is in no load, the absolute value of the voltage is low. And it is easy to be pulled down when the pumping load is large.

BQ27411-G1: bq27411-g1: which offsets are correct, pdf or bqStudio

Hi,

According to Table 6-3 (bq27411-G1 Technical Reference SLUUAS7B) that describes subclass 80 (IT Cfg), parameters from "ResRelax Time" to "TermV Valid t" should have offsets 48-76. But bqStudio uses offsets 50-78 (+2) for them.

So the question is which offsets are correct?

There are also undocumented registers: "Qmax max delta %" and "Max % default Qmax" (exist in bqStudio but not in pdf), and documented register "Fast Qmax Volt buffer" that cannot be edited by the application.

Are they important for correctly working IT? If so, what values (and offsets) should they have?
