Hi,I am from ASUS SZ NB POWER Team.We have some questions about bq24780 now.Our protection use the independent comparator of bq24780(when CMPIN pull high,CMPOUT pin's output is low,our protect will be enable).We find independent comparator doesn't work at the second protection .

we can find COMPOUT pull  low when COMPIN is up to 2.3v at the first time.COMPOUT pull high only if COMPIN is under 2.3v.however,when COMPIN pull up to 2.3v again,COMPOUT doesn't

pull low.Can you give a reason for this? And we want to know the independent comparator's working conditions.

What is the protection mechanism of the LM5036's overcurrent protection and short circuit protection? Whether the control that comes with the chip can be realized, or need to add a short circuit protection circuit. Is the overcurrent protection of this chip limited power or snoring protection?

(1)VCR Pin:

The corresponding definition is not found in the Icomp specification in the following formula. Is it consistent with the definition of Iramp as follows?

(2).This IC specification is defined as the operating frequency range 35KHZ-1MHZ;

Is it possible to set the maximum and minimum operating frequency separately? The current test boot frequency is 700KHZ.

(3)Soft start

At present, the Css capacitor is 0.22uF, and the actual test soft start time Tss is only 22ms, which does not correspond to the actual calculated value.

(4)At present, the integrated transformer is used. Parameters: transformer leakage inductance 52uH, inductance 480uH. Resonant capacitor 824. SS pin capacitance 0.22u. RVCC-SS pin divider resistor 750K/200K, VCR voltage divider detection capacitor 101/222, ISNS current sense RC Parameter 100PF/255R, BLK setting 340V start. BW pin is not connected. Vcc is set to no load 15V. At present, the normal working frequency of the prototype is idling at 60K, the output voltage is set to 5V, and the actual value is 4.5V. The load will drop. Please help us to see if there is any unreasonable or need to adjust?

Our customer plans to place a LED driver circuit on PMID and sink 10mA from here during battery charge operation.

Could you suggest him if there is any irrelevant operation in ths use case ?

The 10mA LED current driven from PMID is measured as a part of IINLIM current setting by IINLIM register or ILIM pin ?

TPS62150: Radiation noise

Hi

We are evaluating TPS62150EVM-505 and facing problem of unwanted radiation noise.

Measured noise is attached in following file.

Input : 9V

Output : 3.3V/0.4A

(Please visit the site to view this file)

You can see radiation noise at 300MHz -400MHz with TPS62150EVM.

As comparison, measurement result of TPS562200 is also attached. 

Radiation noise was not observed with TPS562200.

Why is the radiation noise occurred with TPS62150EVM?

Could you please tell me how to avoid or suppress radiation noise?

Hello,

I am using UCC28780 for my Activ Clamp Zeta-Flyback Converter. The Output Power of the Converter is 160W (40V and 4A) and i already  used your UCC28780 Si SIMPLIS Model (45W Output Power) for my Simplis Simulation and adjusted the circuit parameters with help of your e UCC28780 design calculator for my Topology and Output power. In Simulation everything worked well. Now I built a Hardware and have a Problem that the Controller doesn't  start. The Start Sequence with the SWS, RUN, VDD HVG, works propertly i measured on every pin. The only thing is the main Mosfet Ql (Ql name in your SI Simplis Model) Switch only ones or sometimes  twice and stops until the VDD Capacitor is Empty and a new Start Sequence starts. My Primary inductivity is 75µH and Input voltage for C bulk is 250 V (DC). Can you help me with this Issue?

in default set of BQ25882, if the register is not written within 40s, the watchdog timer will expire and reset the registers.

What's the purpose of add watchdog function for this device?

Are there any risk if I disable the watchdog at the first time I write the registers through MCU?

 the EVM of UCC256301 is getting turn off due to OTP limit hit. but when i turned on the fan its working fine. and when i switched of ac once the evm  started, is also working fine. so from this can i draw the conclusion the due to zcd current through HV pin  the ic is heating .how  can i remedy the situation without using fan??

I think TPS63060 Vout max of 8V is defined by the internal OVP.

Is it a possible idea to know the OVP value even not described on the datasheet?

My customer uses it with Vout=8V and wants to know if it is marginal enough with expected variation including accuracy and ripple?

We wanted to implement an isolated IGBT driver with miller clamp to reduce turn-on of IGBT due to Ccg triggering. I was going through the datasheets of  ISO5451, ISO5452, ISO 5852S and they seem very similar. I can't figure out any differences here.

Can someone help me understand how they differ?

Hi TI,

I have customer are trying to use BQstudio to program BQ25883. He has connect the EV2400 board with BQ25883EVM. Then connect to PC for and open Bqstudio.

However, Based on the EVMBQ25883 Datasheet, it stated that we need to use BQ25881 for software evaluation.

In the Bqstudio we are not able to find target selection of BQ25883/BQ25881.

Can you please advice on the missing target list selection? Which one we should use?

Tested Software version: BQSTUDIO v1.3.54.1.

ISO5452: Help in choosing IGBT driver will miller clamp ?

Hi,

This is a question which is a followup to the one here .

I have shortlisted the following gate drivers: ISO5451, ISO5452 , ISO 5852S, UCC5350,UCC23513  . We would like to have a driver with a miller clamp and if possible an optional IGBT Desat protection. Can I have some suggestions so that I can shortlist this to the last two IGBT drivers that I can evaluate?

Also, what should I look into when selecting a driver for better miller clamp based protection.
