LMR62014: Feed forward capacitor value

Hi Team,

One of my customers is using LMR62014 to make 16V  from 5V in energy meter application.The load is around 100mA for 20-50msec.

He is presently using 220pf as feedforward capacitor but is failing in radiated emission test .

If the value of Cff is increased from 220pf to 440pf the radiated emission result passes.

As the PCB is freezed The layout can not be changed.

There are two queries:

1. How feedforward capacitor is resulting in less Radiated emissions?

2. Is it ok to use 440pF in the design?What implications it can have?

Hello,

I look through the constants.c in HSFB firmware.And I notice the code as below:

If i write code after that like this:

volatile const  un_hly hly_set = Z;// Z is constant

The location of ".HLY"(org = 0x00018FA0) is after ".CONFIG" in DFLASH.

However,the Z may be erased while the value before CHECKSUM not.

Could you give me some advices?

TPS51200: Behavior when REFIN is over 1.8V

Hello,

 

My customer has an question about TPS51200.

They want to input 1.8V to REFIN input pin.

But since the recommended operating range is up to 1.8V, there is basically no margin for 1.8v REFIN input.

What kind of problem could occur if REFIN input is over 1.8V.

 

They understand we can’t guarantee any operation if the recommended operating range is not kept.

But what they want to confirm is whether this device could have something very strange of non-linear behavior.

UCC27524A1-Q1: Unexpected ringing on the gate drive output

Hi team,

An unexpected ringing is observed on the gate driver output with UCC27524A1-Q1.
As the FET drain voltage(HV) is hiked higher, the ringing looks to be generated as the attached waveform.
1) Is there any idea what possibly makes this ringing?
2) Is there any idea of workaround to suppress the ringing?

BQ24610: BQ24610 control pin when no load

Hello,

      my project is used in DC input 15V, charging is full of 12.6V charging circuit, I have two doubts, the first when I am empty, my two different items of boards HIDRV and LODRV and PH feet The switching frequency is different. The following is the waveform intercepted by the oscilloscope in my test. The second doubt is that the battery voltage I set is 12.6V, but the battery voltage I am full is 12.5. I have read the specifications and specifications of BQ24610. The 0.5% of the scale is a bit wrong. Can you give me the answer?

BQ25895: termination current accuracy beyond datasheet spec

Hi,

my customer set the termination current to be 128mA.

They measured with an amp meter and find that the charge terminates at 180mA.

The last time charge current read through BQ25895 register is 200mA.

Both shows that the termination current accuracy is beyond ±20% spec in the datasheet.

LM5050-1: LM5050 Vgs is not hign enough

Hi team,

My customer is doing a OR-ing circuit with LM5050-1. Please see below schematic. The load current is about 3A. When the 24V+ input is powered on, the +24V_OUT is 23.6V and the VGS of Q3 is only 0.2V. 

They used to use LM5050-1 in a larger load current use case and it works well. So could you please help check why Q3 cannot be completely turned on in this case? Thanks.

TPS51200: PGOOD hysteresis min/max value

I have question about PGOOD hysteresis.

In datasheet P5 , there is only typical value.

If hysteresis has greater value than typical, the value when PGOOD is falling will be changed.

Is it possible to tell me min/max value?

I would like to know the exact value when PGOOD is falling.

LP38693: What is the current limit value of LP3893MPX-2.5 when the input voltage is 3.3V?

 Hello guys,

 One of my customers is evaluating LP38693 for their next products.

 In the evaluation, they found the device output current limitter starts to work around 1.2A~1.5A. Their input voltage of LP3893 is 3.3V. LP3893 datasheet says that the device foldback current limit (IFB) is 850mA(Typ) when VIN-Vo<4V. But the IFB has big difference form their actual data. Does the IFB becomes bigger than 850mA when the difference voltage between VIN and Vout is smaller than 4V?

Hello,

I want to build a small battery pack using the BQ25890 and was wondering about two things:

  1. How do I enter the battery chemistry parameters using the bqStudio software?
  2. How would I connect USB-C/PD charger to the evaluation board?

I have the EV2300 and got it running fine with the board and bqStudio. Sometimes the cell voltage is incorrectly read but that's about it. I think I even got it charging at some point.

However, do you know answers of other questions about reason of I2C hang ?

1,In order to solve gost current problem, I increased cc deadband from 17 to 68(The cc deadband of V04 was changed to 68.) according to your advice. Is cc deadband change stored in 'Instruction flash' or 'Data flash'? In fact, I had been told that dffs file can cover cc deadband change during time of solving this issue? Could you confirm? 

2,Our factory will buy BQ27510-G3 from TI and update it via V04 dffs file(it is attached). Could I update FG using V04 dffs file without  any our configuration data loss because dffs file doesn't include IF section without  any our configuration data loss? Is IF part of V04 bqfs file same with default IF part of G3 bought from TI? Would you help confirm it is ok to use V04 dffs file?

3,What steps are needed to update FG via dffs file and bqfs files? Is this process same?
