BQ28Z610EVM-532: Configure for a single cell

Part Number:BQ28Z610EVM-532

Hello,

Apart from shorting 2p-1p terminals on the battery side to support a 1-cell operation, is there any changes to be made in the BQstudio to support this?.

when i connect a battery pack the bqstudio shows 0% @ 3.6V.

Also, when i press the switch S1, the gauge is momentarily connected to the EV2400 but soon after disconnects. chg fet drive is at 1.8V (1/2 of cell voltage) and dsg fet is at 0v.

there is no power supply or load connected to the pack terminals.

dont know what i am doing wrong......

Thank you,

Gaurav

We are having difficulty testing the LMG1210EVM-012, we are using a 10 Volt power supply for the input bias supply, 20 volt for the input DC supply while PWM signal within a range of 10KHz-2MHz.  We are trying to operate the LMG1210EVM-012 to switch between 0 volt to 50 volts. Does anyone has an idea of a precise procedure for testing the LMG1210EVM-012.

Part Number:TPS53641

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Chasel,

Fusion tool shows that VOUT_MARGIN_HIGH IS 0.512V  with register value of 0x0002.

A good board shows VOUT_MARGIN_HIGH to have value of 0.000V, and the register is 0x0000.

I don't know what pin in TPS53641 is causing this, so I could check and resolve the issue.  We have

couple of boards failing this.

TPS54260: Question on output voltage error on TPS54260

Part Number:TPS54260

Hi Sir

I'd like to ask for your help with the following:

- Problem -

Problem: MCU sometimes doesn't work.

The MCU does not operate when the review results in a sound on the board, and MCU operation stops when outputting from the 5V output to the graph shown below.

After a period of time, the MCU will operate again after returning to the normal 5V output.

It outputs 5V with TPS54260 and is designed with WEBENCH® designs. Below is the TPS54260 design circuit.

I want to know how to solve this problem.

BQ25703A: Device does not appear to be charging

Part Number:BQ25703A

Hi,

I am having a few issues trying to get a BQ25703A charge circuit to work with a 3 cell 11.1V Li-Po.

While connected to a 14.8V external supply the charge circuit will power the rest of the board but does not appear to charge the battery (3 cell, 11.1V Li-Po).

When the rest of the circuit is powered down, the charge circuit only draws 1mA and no change in battery voltage occurs.

I discharged the battery down to 11.1V to ensure that it wasn't just reaching it's fully charged state.

My understanding is that none of the i2C registers should have to be changed from default to get the device to function.

I have attached the schematic for reference, any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom Hulbert

I had some trouble. When I connected the ILIM pin to GND, the module entered the wrong mode. STAT started flickering at 1Hz. How to deal with this situation? Or can we only change modules?

Another question is, what is the battery's full state? Is STAT higher than the 8.4V set?

LM27403: No voltage at low temperature.

Part Number:LM27403

Hi

I got a problem at low temperature.

The normal input voltage is 12V,and output voltage is 5V. But,the Vo will be 4V when the temperature at subzero 10 degrees Celsius.

And output voltage go zero at 20 degrees Celsius or lower

I sure that  all component working temperature is meet.

The VDD & Vfb get lower at low temperature.

VDD is 4V at  subzero 10 degrees Celsius . It obviously over spec.

How could I  solve this problem.

Thanks.

Hi Experts

Sorry for confuse about the ADJ (pin 5) of UCC39002.

Because of ADJ pin_max is only 15V. How to connect it.. Could you please help to provide the reference schematic ?

Seem this ADJ pin connect to Vo side…

In addition, whether have Load share can operate at High side ?

As we knew that Load share was only operate at Low side.

Note: Vo is 54V

Dear Team,

If we input smaller than 2mohm for Rs, the RCL1 and RCL2 will show NA.

What is the reason?

Is it because when Rs is too small, we are not recommend to divider the Rs voltage anymore?

BQ76940: communication error with MCU

Part Number:BQ76940

Hello, I'm developing BMS system.

MCU is RL78.

Yesterday the cell's voltage(which was read from MCU) wasn't changed although they were charged.

I think there was communication error between MCU and ASIC.

So my question is how can I know there is error between MCU and ASIC?

Is there any register about Comm error in BQ769xy?

I can't find in datasheet.

Thank you.

BQ51021: Developing with BQ24160

Part Number:BQ51021

We are developing a system with BQ24160 and BQ51021.  We have USB going into the BQ24160 USB Input, and we have the output of the BQ51021 going to the VIN input of the 24160.  Our wireless charging is only meant to trickle charge our system.  We charge our 1400mah battery at 1A when using USB, but set the current limit of wireless charging to only 350mA.  We just migrated our design from the BQ51013BRHLT to the BQ51021 so we could use the I2C interface to send data to our wireless charger.  The system was stable using the BQ51013.  We are getting the system up and running right now, but we are seeing the wireless charging connecting, the current goes to the limit then it decreases down to a low current in steps and then after a few seconds it re initiates back to the higher current and repeats.  We don't want the current to constantly be ramping back to max current.  Is there some i2c settings I should be looking at to better setup the device?  The battery in this case is close to full, so it should just go to a low current output, equivalent to no load.

Part Number:UCD3138

Does one program UCD3138 through the PMBUS data &clk ports?

In such a case, do we have to get a license for using PMBUS if it is not in the public domain?

In a related matter: in TIDUCT9 document, LLC stage is required to have 62.2 uH   control freq changing over 150 kHz to 250 kHZ( if I recall)

But in UCD3138 LLC design per tidrn80/82 0r 83, switching sweeps over 200kHz to 750 kHz and Lr is only 2.6 uH

Why such a huge difference?

Would there be any spreadsheet calculations where we can get properly analyzed values for such parameters Lr, Cr , xmfr ratio, ...etc?

LM5035C: why duty has jitter when ramp peak voltage lower than 2.5V?

$

Part Number:LM5035C

Hi

my customer use LM5035C in their project.

when input power source turn off, the input voltage begin to go down, point A voltage will goes high to increase duty, finally, A point voltage will be higher than 2.5V.

because input voltage drop, the peak ramp pin voltage will lower than A point voltage and 2.5V clamp.

so at this condition, LM5035C should keep max duty, but from customer's test result, duty don't keep a fixed value, it has about 50ns jitter, this jitter will cause output voltage has some up and down at the drooping curve.

Question:

1. peak ramp voltage don't meet point A voltage and 2.5V clamp, LM5035C how to know when turn off duty?

2. why duty has this 50ns jitter?

3. how to solve this issue?

I want customer to decrease Ramp resistor value to increase peak ramp voltage, but this will limit the max duty at normal work condition.

Part Number:BQ76930

Hi Support,

Would you help confirm the relationship between VTSX and Vtsx in the following equations. VTSX =Vtsx/(1000000) ??

 Vtsx = (ADC in Decimal) x 382 µV/LSB (4)

 RTS = (10,000 × VTSX) ÷ (3.3 – VTSX)

Thanks a lot
