Hi

My current customer is using the TPS65261-1.

There are a lot of field defects in the product and we are looking for the cause of the problem.

Bad phenomenon: LX2 and PGND2 are short-circuited.

Confirmation request

1) In the above bad phenomenon, the vds voltage does not keep 0 but moves at a fixed frequency like hiccup. Why is this happening?

2) The output cap of tps65261-1 was forcibly shorted by 10 times. After that, it was normal in the beginning, but after the aging for about 17 hours, the same defect occurred.

2-1) Is it possible to damage the TPS65261-1 by aging it with the output shorted?

2-1) Continuously shorting the output for a short time during operation generates a spark. Can I damage the IC?

Hello,

We make 3.3V from 5V by LM73606. When no load condition, Vout is 3.6V. We tried 10 samples. There is samples 3.3V output under no load condition. The ratio is almost 50:50. When load is connected, Vout becomes 3.6V to 3.3V

Would you let us know the reason when Vout is higher than set voltage?

What is the maxium voltgae VFF pin can stand of UCC2818A-Q1, since i notice on datasheet,  the VFF voltage only shows  around 4.7V  as below. Does this mean, the VFF voltage can not exceed 4.7V?

We want to find a LED driver IC. By adjusting Vadj and PWM, 64 different output currents (0-300 mA) can be generated. The output current of TPS92515, which we used before, is unstable (the input parameters of the same board are consistent at different times but the current is not consistent). According to your FAE recommendation, this chip needs fixed values due to inductance, sampling resistance, resistance and capacitance, etc. It is impossible to achieve that one inductance value and sampling resistance value can correspond to different output currents. So we want to find an alternative solution. Please give me some advice.

The Vin is 12V-24V,Vout=40V, Iout=20mA.Working long hours,Vout occasionally droped to less than 10V,and the inductance(L1) is whistling.I change L1 from 6.8uH to 150 uH,The problem still exists.

Hello,

I have a question about Input current increasing when  input voltage is closed with output voltage.

1. Operation :  Battery voltage (3.0~4.2V) input and 3.2V output.

2. Symptom : When Input voltage goes low and close with output voltage, current consumption is increased

  1) When input voltage is around 3.3V~3.4V, 4.3mA increased

  2) When input voltage is 3.2V (100% Duty), 1.5mA additionally consumed. (if load current is 1mA, Input current is 2.5mA)

==> Mode pin is low. But it works like as PWM mode not PFM mode.

Is above operation TPS62135 characteristic or there is the way to reduce this current consumption?

Does the Vin terminal work even if it is open?

In the circuit in Figure 11, current flows from the VIN pin at startup, but after the VCC voltage is supplied from T1, all drive power of the IC is switched from the VCC pin to the supply.

Can you guarantee the operation if the Vin terminal is not applied 15V or more?

If you need 15V, how many current can be supplied at 15V to prepare an external power supply?

Tell me the minimum required power. It will be needed to build an external circuit.

I would like to know what happen if we set TPS61230/TPS61232 output at 5V, and supply input is 5V.

Will the output be 5V, or the converter will stop working. Since I saw the datasheet say input voltage range range from 2.5-5.5V.

And if input voltage is 5.5V, how can the output be 5V (since this is Boost Topology)

Customer feedback that BQ25713 at pure buck or boost mode have different behavior on different load.

For example:

In pure boost mode, Q1 should always on. But we found Q1 will turn on at no load but always on by 500mA load.

        When I use bq34z100-g1 to read the temperature, when the thermistor value changes, the temperature value would be delayed to change, the delay time varies from 7s to 15s. Why ?

        I had used EV2300 tool,used adjustable resistance to simulate thermistor.

Hi,

I have a question about the TLV431, when used as a comparator (please find the circuit below). I do not realize how the voltage between the anode and cathode behaves (VF2). The simulation model does not seem to work properly. According to www.ti.com/.../slva987.pdf I would expect the voltage VF2 drops to Vref. On my real circuit I measure 1,83V. I need to know this, because I drive a PNP transistor with this signal.

Dear friends

I  use  BQ40Z50 in my  2- serial product.  I  complete the temperature calibration at  25 degree C.  But, BQ40Z50 report -10 degree C at actual  -5 degree C ambient.   I  did calibration again -5 degree C.  But BQ40Z50  report  30 degree C  at  actual 25 degree C  ambient.

I  guess it is related the B-constant  of  temperature sensor.  what is correct  B-constant  for temperature sensor that is used for BQ40Z50  external sensor.
