Hi,

Questions about schematic design:

1. If the LDO_out port has no load, can I remove the decoupling capacitor of the LDO_IN port?  For example, LDO6~LDO9
2. Can I short the F22 pin and the F23 pin directly?

TPS61199: The relation between OVP and LED bar Vf

I am using a TPS61199 to make a LED driver board to drive LED bar.

The issue is that I set the OVP=60V, it is OK when the LED bar Vf=54V, however the LED bar will flash if Vf=27V(Reduce the LED quantity).

Is there a limitation between OVP setting and real LED bar Vf?

We have a request to  implement  1+1 redundent &power sharing based general industry Power supply. 

The general industry Power Supply is 220V/100V AC input , 12V /32A  DC Max output.  There are Sense+ and Sense- in the general Power supply.  Can we utilize the solution ( UCC39002+ TPS40050) ( The Application Report Number : SLUA311) to meet the request ?  Below is the sketch map, The blue box is the circuit we want to achieve redundent &power sharing .

This PIN is externally connected to the control chip, so we want to see whether the specific value of threshold voltage of high and low level matches.

TPS82084: TPS82084 Vout locked at 2.2V when Vin

TPS82084 using as below:Vsys is from Single Battery voltage.

When the input voltage is lower than output voltage required, the TPS82084 Vout will lock at 2.2V.

We haven't find any description about this.

There're only 2 descriptions about the Low voltage output in datasheet, shown as below:

Does this mean: only when the voltage is lower than 2.2V, the output will be turned off. But if 82084 works like this, how can this lock output 2.2V happen like in our design?

Our phenomenon can be reproduced stably now. or is this the intentional design of the chip? Thanks!

BQ27750: Question regarding calibration values of BQ27750

Hello community,

during development of a new product which includes the TI BQ27750 chip we were facing that the device performs an autocalibration for the "cc auto offset" parameter from time to time.
From the BQ27750 technical reference document we now know that this autocalibration will be performed on entry to sleep mode.

The question is if the following parameters behaves equal to the "cc auto offset": 

"cell gain",
"pack gain",
"cc gain",
"capacity gain"

I want to check if these parameters will be more or less dynamic changed via auto calibration when customer use our product or if these parameters are fixed and will only be calibrated one time during development?

If you need more informations to answer my question please feel free to ask me.

It seems there is no information in the user guide nor in the datasheet of LM3450.

1、About normal mode and ship mode, what mode is the TS in before activation after bq76930 is powered on? Which mode does TS enter after activation? TS activation means that the boot voltage on TS is greater than 1V,right?

2、I see that two pieces of bq76930 are used in TIDA-01093. When two pieces of bq76930 of the same model (for example :BQ7693006) are used in cascade, how does I2C addressing work? Can three bq76930 be cascaded? Can the cascaded bq76940 be used in the same way?

3、 According to the following picture bq76930, some of the different suffixes have CRC verification and some have no CRC verification, right?

BQ24050: TS, ISET2 and PRETERM connection and purpose

Hi everyone, as you can see from my picture i configured a bq24050 circuit for my battery ( in the picture you can read the battery specifications). I charge my battery with my source voltage of 5V, so no USB connection is required. I already made a Board prototype with circuit in the picture.

I really don't understand how connect TS and ISET2 and what is the purpose of ISET2 pin function. I connect 2 resistor for both pins ( ISET2 and TS) so in the case, i can choose pullup /pulldown of floating.

My battery has just two pins so, the temperature control of TS pin is not required so i want to DISABLE it.

So please:

1) How can i connect ISET2 pins and resistor value and what is the purpose of that pin? ( the ISET2 pin now is connected to a microcontroller GPIO).

2) may i leave the ISET2 connection like in my circuit or i have or change it?

3) how can i disable TS pin function?

4) are the R29(ISET) and R31(PRETERM) value correct for my battery specification ?

5) if i want to charge my battery with just 150mA , can i change only R29(ISET) with 3K6 value and nothing else? ( RISET = KISET/ISET --> KISET = 540, ISET = 150mA --> RISET = 3K6);

BQ35100: Changing the CHEM_ID

Dear Forum users,

How can I change the CHEM_ID of the BQ35100, without using BQ-STUDIO?
Can it be done by changing the DF Configuration Registers 0x4254 Battery ID?
Unfortunately this register only contains 1 byte of data.

I'm using a Lithium Thionyl Chloride battery, so switching CHEM_ID from 0606 to 0607 should do the trick.
