Part Number: LP87561-Q1

Hello Team,

I was wondering what the  Maximum Load Current givein the Table 1 of the Technical Reference Manual means?

http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snvu513a/snvu513a.pdf

This is a 16A part but in the table 14A is give as the maximum load current, also when i look at our internal OTP settings there are some OTP version ending in F/T/V that outline max current of 12A.

BP51C-4A Old DIP DC DC Converter or Battery Charger?

here is a link to a similar product albeit not Texas Instruments :

This IC is a 8-PDIP IC in an old Texas Instruments/Radio Shack calculator I think from the 80s or 90s as in made for Radio Shack by Texas Instruments.  It is the battery pack on a small PCB with a moderate sized electrolytic capacitor and inductor of unknown value, a 1n4004 diode , and a 1ohm or 0.1 ohm power resistor probably 2-3W.  the board is powered by 9Vac from a wall wart it has 2 AA probably NICAD batteries attached in series, which leaked VERY badly.  I could find the model number for the calculator and probably the battery pack too but I wasn't sure if they would be nessacery.   Ultimately What I am looking for is a datasheet or some information like that as a way to find out what voltage to power the calculator with since the battery pack is shot and I don't want to risk run the calculator on straight AC. again the Part # is BP51C-4A  and it is in a 8-PDIP.

Thanks for any help!

LP87563Q1EVM: GUI: Pulling shareable register map from GUI?

Part Number: LP87563Q1EVM

Team,

Is there a way to pull a register map from the GUI that i could share/send to another engineer. I would like to setup a default configuration over I2C and send that/potentially be able to load it into their EVM using the GUI. It looks like the GUI lacks this functionality. Is there a OneUI version for these devices, those guis typically have this functionality where you can load and program a register map from an XML or notepad file.

TLC59581: GCLK Calculation and Adjusting Frame Rate

Part Number: TLC59581

Hi Team,

My customer is trying to use the TLC59581 for a matrix display and running into concerns with GCLK, can you help verify a few things for me?

They are doing 8 scan lines and want to achieve 120 frames per second in the 8x8 mode, that would require a GCLK of 257 x 256 x 8 x 120 or about 65.6 MHz, correct? (which I know is double the spec for the chip.)

Assuming my computations are correct, is there a way to increase the frame rate (I’m assuming at the loss of PWM resolution) without running the GCLK at such a high rate?  I would guess that 10 bits of resolution would be enough.

Thanks,

David

Part Number: TPS61041-Q1

Hi TI-team

My customer want to know Feedback trip point voltage of Tj:125 to 150°C.

They recognize that the absolute maximum rating is Tj:150°C.

Do you have data ?

I saw that Figure 6. Feedback Voltage vs Free-Air Temperature.

I think that the accuracy of -40℃ may remain worse than 150℃.

Hi,

We use a Battery which will present 0V to the charger when it has been discharged below 3.0V (self disconnecting)

The Inbuilt Battery Protection needs at least 3.0V to be present to re-activate the Battery Connection to begin charging.

We would like to charge with a max current somewhere between 0.8A and 3A

We have an input voltage of 5V  (in one case 20V would be useful too)

Does anyone know which Switching Battery Charge ICs can be used for this purpose?

Cheers

Part Number: TLV61048

Now we testing tlv61048 and have some problem.

test condition : use Li-ion Battery(3.7~4.2V), output=5.2Volt, 600mA

1. Output Enable : Even if the enable signsl is set low, the output remains constant from 5.2V to 3.2V.

I wnat to zero volt ( Power Consumption zero )

2. Output current : Operate at 5.2V/100mA and operate 600mA, voltage drop to 3.2V.

3. Output voltage : When the powwer switch is on, the output to 3.2V.  When the peripheral circuit operates,

it goes up to 5.2V. ( unstable operation )

My wireless power transmitter(bq500211) and receiver(bq51013b) works normally.

But my wireless power efficiency still can't reach the data table value given by Ti.

I want to know what's involved and what I should do to improve DC-DC efficiency?

Chip rated input voltage nominal is 12V to 16.5V, In fact, above 13.5V, the circuit does not work properly. If the voltage is higher than 13.5V, it will fail at the moment of starting up.This problem can only be solved by adjusting the filter capacitance.

PS:The input voltage is very very clean.

Hi,

I want to know if there is any way of bringing out the sampling clock from device. Does the device sample based on the real time clock? If so, when the clock is at some multiple of 400 uS can you anticipate the values at the input are sampled?

Thank you

TPS61099: Converter noise gets into the audio path

$

Part Number: TPS61099

Hello!

I use a portable sound amplifier in the device.
The device is powered by a 0.9 - 1.3 V battery
I use a op amp with 2.8V , for this I need a  boost converter.

A TPS610993  with 3.0V output voltage converter was selected.

But the noise of the converter appeared in the audio path.

The load current for the output voltage of the converter is not more than 0.5 mA.

I tried using the LDO on 2.8V and it helped a little, the noise became smaller, but they did not disappear, and this is especially noticeable when I remove the input signal and start hearing the high-frequency noise of the converter.

When I looked at the oscilloscope, the output voltage after the LDO became more stable, but the input voltage became noisy.
How can I solve this problem?

Thanks!

BQ78350-R1: BQ76930 & BQ78350-R1 Cell Balance Test Behavior

$

Part Number: BQ78350-R1

I have a question regarding the cell balance behavior.

Our design is an 8S1 arrangement using the BQ76930 & BQ78350-R1.

VC4 and VC3 are shorted.

VC9 and VC8 are shorted.

BQ78350 AFE cell map is programmed with 0x2f7

Appropriate voltages are being reported for Cells 1 - 8 in the bqStudio register view.

Enabling CB_TEST using SMB command Write Block with Cmd 0x44, data 0x001b results in CB_TEST being enabled.

Capturing i2c traffic between the BQ76930 & BQ78350-R1 shows CB registers being written with:

0x15 0x0a 0x15

0x0a 0x15 0x0a

0x00 0x00 0x00

Now that'd be good for a 10 cell design. But for an 8 Cell it doesn't set odd then even cells as there are missing cells.

In all only 6 cell balance resistors end up with current flowing in the test.

I can clearly see which ones have current using a thermal camera.

Cell Resistors 1,3 & 6 for first (odd) toggle

Cell Resistors 2,5 & 7 for second (even) toggle

So my questions is what's going on?

Seems to be an issues with the firmware not accounting for the reduced cell count.

Would this problem apply when actual cell balancing is underway or is it a problem with just the CB_TEST feature?

Part Number: LMZM33604

Hello team members.

LMZM33604 uses a feed forward capacitor in parallel with RFBT. This feed forward capacitor is calculated by the equation (CFF = 4.3 × (Vout × Cout / RFBT)) near Figure 32 in the data sheet.
If I install a Feed Forward capacitor with a capacity greater than this equation, will there be problems with transient response and other issues?

Hi,

Is it ok to recognize that if the input voltage is 10.8V when the output voltage is set to 11V,

the input voltage will be output as-through as it is?
