BQ77915: Load Removal/Charging to recover from UV fault

I'm having trouble understanding how the components around the CHG FET are supposed to be selected. In the detailed example, it says load removal is necessary, but then later it says that because attaching a charger is acceptable, a 1-Mohm resistor is ok for R_GS_CHG. However, in the simple example table, it says that a 1-Mohm R_GS_CHG disables load removal for recovery from UV fault. I'm trying to design a system where the battery is a fixed component of the system, so the only way to recover from a UV fault should be attaching a charger.

Hi,

I would like to use the VCC output  (pin 7) as a non-precise lightly loaded reference source.

My design supports a range of output voltages so using VOUT for this is not convenient.

Datasheet doesn't recommend loading VCC.

What is a safe VCC load current that TI still allows?

Hello,

In the datasheet section 7.5.1.9, it explains the burst mode for write or read. 

But I am missing on how to use it. Apparently you'll have to address one register at a time, and each register is one byte. So reading/writing more than one byte in the same register at a time, doesn't make sense to me. 

Would someone explain to me this mode, please?

BQ24650: Can high-side driver signal be referenced to ground?

I'm interested in using the BQ24650 to drive a buck converter, but instead of directly using MOSFETs, I want to have it drive a half-bridge circuit (EPC9201) that has low- and high-side signal inputs. The high-side driver signal is referenced to ground in the half-bridge circuit, but the BQ24650 has a level shifter on the high-side driver. Can the BQ24650 high-side driver be referenced to ground (e.g. PH pin to ground, BTST pin to 5 V) so that these two circuits could be used together? Thanks.

Hello.

I'm new to TINA-TI and perhaps I'm doing something terribly wrong, but I fail to simulate a MOSFET bridge with the LM74670-Q1 controllers. Here is the schematic:

When I run a transient simulation I get the error:

Current of component: U1.E_E8

Node: 4
Component/Terminals: 4

LM76003: Can LM76003 block reverse current

Hi Team, 

we are promoting LM7003 in our customer, to replace LT8612, customer meet some issue on LT8612, when system power off, they found VIN of DC/DC drop much fast than Vout(24V in to LT8612, 7V out), thus reverse current flow from Vout to Vin and LT8612 broken sometime, so i am touching with you if LM76003 can block reverse current? can LM76003 survive in this condition?

Regarding as transaction time

1,Provide us your opinion why you recommended 100ms between transactions.

2.When we set 100ms between transactions, how could we check that our product has no problem?

  For example:cycle test,check the timing between XXsignal and XXsignal, etc.

My customer chosen BQ25601 for their new project, and they has  started evalluating

their PCB.

Q1 POR time

When VBUS rises above VVBUS_UVLOZ or BAT rises above VBAT_UVLOZ ,

how much time is necessary between "VBUS rise above VVBUS_UVLP" ,

and "I2C interface is ready for communicaiton " ?


My customer says approx 300ms  ? wait time for i2c communication

should be necessary after Power on in their PCB.

But I don't know whether it is correct or not.

Furthermore, we don't know  wheter it varies depend on VBUS slew rate or temperature or any other condition ... Or,  it doesn not vary ( POR time is stable).

Would you please advise above?


Q2 I2C state under POR

Customer says SCL=High during POR, but is it correct?


Q3 INT pin

How can customer detect POR- finish?  Using INT pin?


I had attached customer's schematic.

According to customer , Icc of MCU is small( 1~2 mA) and sink current from REGN LDO shoould be

negiligible.

there is Communication issue with bq76930.

I use bq76930000. 2.5 regout, crc mode disable.

I can check the status of bq76930 with I2C. on PC.

I want to communicate with bq78350-r1 via SMB on PC.

Communicating with ev2300.

But i can't. 

I check regout and sda and scl signals in attach.

Also, a circuit diagram is attached.

Please help me to solve this problem.

TPS82130: Propagation delay of PG outpu

My customer has question.

The following is described in the explanation of the PG output of TPS82130.
However, when the waveform is confirmed, PG falls to Low after the input voltage rises to about 1.6V.

The PG pull-up destination is the input voltage.

Probably there is a delay time, is this behavior correct?
If there is a delay time, how long is it?

Thanks Onyx! But you may misunderstand my question. I post again!

1, I understand when I enter R/T table to G4-G35, cell C30 to C34 and cell E30 to E33 coef will follow to change. At the same time graphs 3 and 4 show the temperature error.

But what I want to know is temperature error when using R/T tables of below two sources(NTC 'DHT0A103F34D2SY' , 'JDR103F344F') and below coef(not one based on R/T tables)? In other words, what is the temperature error when using mismatching R/T table and coef? Could you help analyze and give me an answer?

BQ78350: BQ78350+BQ76200 connect to MCU

Excuse me, I currently have a BMS project to evaluate, because the BQ78350 has two communication interfaces (one I2C, one SMBUS), and the current customer's desired architecture is BQ76200+BQ78350+MCU. The MCU through the PC allows the MCU to control the BQ78350 via 485 communication. In this case, my client can use the SMBUS communication protocol. How can I connect? Is there any example of connection for reference? The customer also asks about the sample program in addition to the hardware?

Any input is much appreciated! 

1. Is there example code for any of the following that will be applicable when using a daisy chain configuration besides what is described in the app note SLVUAF0?   

        a.  - example setting the FC register

        b.  - example sending brightness data

        c.  - example reading LOD for each controller  

        d. - example sending GS data for each controller.

 

2. When you set the FC register on a daisy-chain of controllers, do all controllers get set with that one message or do you need to send the message to each controller?

 

3. The app note references (in 3.7.1) "the current operating line" and "total line number". What are these referring to?

I found it can't be executae AC simulation to get the bode plot of dc-dc buck circuit.

Need I to transfer the gate dirver to a transfer function as AC simulation executed ?

TLV810: Change in behavior for rectified DC supply

I have made a circuit to toggle reset and hence drive a MOSFET based on my AC Input which I am making DC using full wave bridge rectifier.

When I am apllying direct DC to TLV810 it is working as per datasheet but for rectified supply it do not give the expected results. Please suggest.

I have a question about LM5050 in 2 PS applicaiton.

Normally the output should be the hign voltage PS, but what if the two PS is the same voltage? and if it have some ripple at teh same DC voltage, will the or-ring switch a lot? will these canse any problem accroding to your experience.
