I am using TPS61240 IC in our project.I am facing issues related to the feed back path diode .

And due to that i am not getting the desired output.

If i replace the shottkey diode with 0E resistor i am getting proper output.

I am attaching the developed schematic,Please have a look.

Hi,

Let me talk about TPS65217 startup time.

1.The starting voltage of TPS65217 is 4.3V.
 Is my understanding correct?
 Please let me know if there is a delay time regulation after add 4.3V.



2.Is there a time limit for Vac or Vusb voltage to reach 4.3V?
 Customer wants to know the time limit for reaching start-up voltage.

Hey,

(First,Please Refer to my last related post) Then how to do we calculate the minimum load/resistance for a particular capacitance let's say 0.1 uf because in our case the the charging time was much higher than the theoretical calculated charging time,but it didn't worked.

CCS/UCD3138A: CPU crashed by interference

Hi TI experts,

My UCD3138A crashed when power circuits starts. Details is as follows:

1.Instruction stream of main program crashed when power circuits starts working.(All monitored by osciloscope.) CPU is reset until watchdog time(2s) is up.

2.Although main program is crashed, interrupt services are still normally works.

3.No abnormal signals with Reset Pin. CPU hasn't been reset when the program is asserted to be crashed.

4.The more Vin is high, the more the crash is serious.

5.The more the tempreture is low, the more the situation is serious. Occured only when tempreture is below -30 degrees celcius.

6.Voltage on 3.3V digital power supply and BP18 pin are normal, no apparent interference signals on it. Both of these two pins are connected to capacitors and grounds of osciloscope probes are connected nearly to the chip pin.

Please help me if you have any idea about what and how the interference crash the CPU!

Hello Team,

We want to design a device which operates on 4 LiSOCl2 batteries.

We had simular designs in the past where we used 2 batteries in series and 2 parallel.

Each 7.2V series string has a diode and both strings connect to a TPS62745 in the current design.

We are wondering if we can remove the diodes and add a second TPS62745, so that 2 TPS62745 are parellel and powering the same 3V3 voltage rail.

Is this solution possible?

Now, i consider to make CC/CV method in my system. I already read the reference that discussed the same topic, but i still confuse the low pass filter role in comparator and when they called "the lowest error, win and control the output".

Hi team,

Could you give me comments on following customer question?

The customer accidentally mounted wrong Rt resistance as 150-Ohm, instead of 150k-Ohm. After that, the customer corrects the Rt resistance from 150-Ohm (wrong) to 150k-Ohm (correct). However, the device doesn't regulate target output voltage as 1.8V anymore, but 0.1V (almost no output). Could you tell me why this happens? Mis-mounting small Rt will damage the device?

Condition:

Vin: 12V

Vout: 1.8V(target designed voltage), 0.1V(Actual output voltage)

LM46002: Restart issue

I'm using LM46002 to design a DC-DC. Please refer to the schematic as below. After working two hours with 10V/1.5A load output, I restart the DC-DC. But the DC-DC outputs 0V and it does not work.

Could you please review my schematic and give me some advices?

Hi Admin,

I want to measure the bode plot of TPS548A20 so I will add a 10 ohm resistor in series Rm with the Rtop feedback resistor.

1. Generally the TPS548A20 have a VO pin connect to the Cout to sense the Vout, so I will change the VO connect to the Rm, then I can measure the bode plot. 

2. If I move the Rm far away from the controller area as the voltage sense to compensate the power plane. Whether the bode plot measurement still work? 

3. As some app note recommend use the AGND of the controller as the GND of AP300 instrument, will i use the local GND as the AP300 instrument? 

LM5069: Delayed response to detect OVLO

Hello Team,

Currently my customers are using LM5069 in one of the circuit for OVLO (33V), UVLO(20V) and surge protection purposes (80V for 100ms), but this device needs greater than 55us to respond (the GATE pin to be LOW). Because of this 80V is coming at the output of LM5069 within 55us. Typical input operating condition of the device is 28V. Why this device is taking 55us to respond evenif OVLO detects, but in datasheet its mentioned 11us for the GATE to be LOW ?

Hello Experts,

My customer is evaluating TPS659162, it is on customer design board with AM5716. Customer reported that LDO1_OUT supplies 3.8V with LDO12_IN is 5V input. I want to confirm what is default of LDO1_OUT voltage setting. I confirmed "SLVUAO4D–January 2016–Revised May 2018", it is stated default setting is "Bypass". On the other hand, "SLVUAW0A–September 2016–Revised April 2017" stated it is "standard power resource". Which is correct value for default? If it is default, is it possible to change to "standard power resource" from "default" by GPIO setting? Or customer needs to access Registers by I2C? Customer is using LDO1_OUT for SD-card supply voltage and 3.3V is required.

BQ27426: SOC difference depending on charge enable timing

Depending on the time from setting the bq27426 parameter to Charge Enable the charging IC (bq25601), the SOC may appear large as below (1).

(1)1380msec:SOC=42% (change from 22% to 42%)
(2)2280msec:SOC=23% (keep about 23%)

Is this device capable of 100% Duty operation?
I think that 100% operation is possible in bypass mode operation.
However, if I check the description about 100% Duty,
I think that 100% Duty operation is not possible due to forced OFF time.



Could you tell me how to interpret these descriptions?

I set Ilimit pin as 5A

when i load near 5A, the output voltage be down near 9V, and over 5A, the out is not shutdown, keep current and voltage

I set loader 30A, IC be damage, it look no protect!!!

i would know how the ilimit operate?

BQ34110: Alert1 pin inhibit the Charger when fully charge bit set

Hello

I use Alert1 pin as charger control for EoS learning on my battery pack, I have not enable Pin Control Config but I found the Alert1 pin will be trigger when battery hit charge termination condition that will disable my charge, it is a unexpected behavior bcs I also use a solar panel to charge battery with small current, I don't want charger be terminated when fully charge by DC plug. could you please help help to disable this function but keeping EoS learning function on Alert1 pin.
