Hi ,
I have a question as below,
I see some resister which are connected to DRAINx and SINx pin,
I know that 22Ohm is used for surge protection, is 47Ohm used for the same function?
Thanks & Regards,

Part Number:BQ27500-V130
Hello,
I'm testing a new battery SAFT MP176065xlr with a gauge BQ27500 v1.3.
The device is loaded with a defaut DFI file and with the chemistry MP176065 xlr id 1576. (from ChemicalUpdater-667-windows-installer )
I have also changed some parameters:
- the full charge capacity from 1000mAH to 6800mAH
- the taper current from 100mA to 120mA
I made measures of the initial SOC estimation versus Open Circuit Voltage.
I found that the SOC versus OCV is inaccurate for high OCV (3.4 to 4.2VDC), the SOC error is about 10%.
From 4.2 to 4.04VDC OCV reading, the gauge estimate the SOC to 100% or datasheet indicate that SOC is about 90% at 4.05VDC OCV.
Below 4.04VDC OCV the gauge start to decrease SOC estimation
Is there an other/newer chemical file more accurate for this battery?
If not, what can i do to make this SOC estimation more accurate?
Thank you in advance.
Nicolas.

The PID parameters of Filter have up to 6 sets of data( Limit 0~5 ), and the control parameters are switched by judging the size of the input error. In the switching process:
1. Principle and design of switching, which is realized through analog or digital mode? The error comparison is using a comparator or something else?
2. Is there any special treatment to prevent toggle error and parameter loading error?
3. Is the switching process direct loading of new data or a gradual process?
Part Number:BQ76930
I would like to use the bq76930 to monitor a cell pack with a 10s1p configuration. The pack can enters (and also leave) in a special operation mode, the bq76930 switches to the SHIP Mode and after that the cell configuartion is changed. In this special mode the new arrangement of the 10s configuration is separated in two 5s configurations and connected parallel to each other. So that port VC10 is conneted with cell 10 and cell 5 and port VC5 (-b; -x) is connected with ground of cell 6 and ground of cell 1.Can the BMS chip be damaged by this re-configuration of the pack during the bq76930 is in SHIP mode?Tanks for your helpMarcel BullenHi TI,
would you please recommend a solution ,we want to convert UART which the level is 1.8V to 12V RS232
thanks

Part Number:TLV62569
Hi, Team
My TV customer is using TLV62569 in their TV board to provide core power of processor RK3128H.
The input voltage is 5V, and output voltage is 0.954V ~ 1.395V. CPU controls the output voltage by 200kHz PWM signal.
Customer manufactuer 200 units and find 1 units failure. Both high-side and low-side MOSFET of TLV62569 are shorted.
Here is customer schematic. Could you help to check whether there is any issue? What is the posible cause?
Thanks
Kevin

Part Number:UC1843
Datasheet [SLUS223E –APRIL 1997–REVISED JANUARY 2017] quotes UVLO values listed against the various part numbers, but I cannot tell which row corresponds to the UC1843. The row titles are ;
Row-1 = UCx842/4 UC184x and UC284x.
Row-2 = UCx843/5 UC384x
Row-3 = UCx843/5
The trouble is that I can match UC1843 into all three rows so cannot tell which row is correct, have I missed something?
Row-1 UC184x could be UC1843.
Row-2 UCx843/5 could be UC1843.
Row-3 UCx843/5 could also be UC1843.
This function works perfectly when idling without load. For a load connection that needs a bit of power, the output voltage drops to a lower value than set. Does anyone have any idea why this could be?
The oscilloscope image shows the voltage values at the Rsense.
This is the circuit for the board.
At the FB-pin is a potentiometer, so that the voltages 12 V and 24 V can be realized. (That is not Show in this circuit.)

Hello,
we need PoE priority as discussed in section 3.2 of slva306a, using the diode Dvdd. This diode lowers efficiency and we were wondering whether we could use an ideal diode based on a MOSFET instead? With 802.3at the diode will dissipate app. 350 mW (0.5V x 0.7A).

Part Number:UCC28700
Hello Sir,
I have to design SMPS with UCC28700 and design specifications as follows
Vin : 250-450 Vdc
and there are multiple outputs as :- 12V,10mA ; 5V,0.6A ; 12V,40mA .
1) can we get multiple outputs using UCC28700 ?
2) will you please give me the design procedure for calculating the values of components ?
Part Number:BQ33100
Hello,
I want to Write MAC command to BQ33100,
1. for Lifetime and Capacitor Balancing Enable (0x0021) the sequence will be:
Write Frame: Slave Address(0x16) => MAC (0x00) => SBS cmd (0x0021)
Write Frame: Slave Address(0x16) => MAC (0x00) => DATA 0x01 / 0x00
2. for rest of the MAC commands as there is no data part present, the sequence will be:
Write Frame: Slave Address(0x16) => MAC (0x00) => SBS cmd (0x0024)
--
as per my understanding; for part 2, we just need to write the command into MAC(0x00) and the action will take place in BQ33100; which is not the case for part 1 , there I have to perform separate i2c write transaction to load the action data into BQ33100
is this understanding correct?
Thanks.
Part Number:PTN78020W
Hi,
We like to switch the output voltage of PTN78020W between two levels.
We will be changing the Vo adjust resitors values for this.
The device will be working on a particular voltage during the change. The SPDT switches (Like : TS5A3159) will be used for changing the Resistor values.
Please let me know that the voltage change is possible during operation.
What are the points I need to consider for this operation
Thanks

Part Number:BQ24193
Hello,
In a battery powered device, we use the BQ24193 component in combination with a single cell battery. In this design, we sometimes (quite rarely actually) encounter a situation where we want to go into shipping mode (section 8.3.1.2.2 of the datasheet), and it seems that the battery remains activated, and thus our system doesn't power off.
During the power off sequence, our microcontroller sends the power off commands to the BQ24193 through I2C. In particular, this writes a new value to the REG07 register. Looking at our firmware, I noticed that when the REG07 value is sent to the component, the REG07[3] bit is '0', while this is a reserved bit that must be '1' (which is obviously a mistake). Since the problem we encoutner is very rare I don't manage to reproduce it.
My question is the following: Is it possible that the wrong value of the reserved bit REG07[3] would explain that the BATFET doesn't alway open to switch off power ?
Additionnally, I noticed the following contradiction in the datasheet:
- Page 13 and 30, it is written that the watchdog timer is disabled with REG05[5:4]=00 (or at least that's what I understand).
- Page 25, it is written that the watchdog timer is disabled with REG05[5:4]=11 (or at least that's what I understand).
It would be nice to have confirmation of which setting disables the whatchdog, because if the whatchdog remains activated this could also explain my issue.
Thank you and best regards,
Thomas
Part Number:TPS5450
Hi,
I'm working on a design based on the WEBENCH and TPS5450 converter. My issue is that I'm getting >2v p-p noise on output. I used the simulator but my real world results are troubling.
Specs
- 24V input
- 3.5A output
- 5V output
Components
- L: 12uH/23mR/ - SRR1260-120ML
- Cin: 20uF/20mR - GRM32ER71H106KA12L x 2
- Cout: 330uF/17mR - 6SVPC330M
- D: 5A/60V/100pF - SBR5E60P5-13
Circuit
Problem
I'm getting 2V p-p noise on the 5V output. Also visible on inductor. Please see waveforms:
Solutions attempted
- Adding a 24R in series with Cboot
- Adding a snubber network (5R/110pF)
- Changing D to a B340AF-14
This helped but nothing like what it should. I wonder if it is the PCB but in all honesty have never experienced such an issue with a switching converter. Can it really be that sensitive?
Thanks for the support
Kind regards,
Charlie.
