TPS62080: Request for TI power supply engineer to review iVeia power supply design

How do I go about getting a TI power supply engineer to review power supply design using part # TPS62080 and comment whether the design will work properly or not?  

Appreciate a quick response on this as we have designed, built and shipped our product to customer.  And customer is claiming the design will not work.  Please advise.  I can be reached at 443 414 3607, cell #.

LP55231: Paralleling the outputs to increase the drive current

What are the ESD ratings for this part?  The reliability/qualification tab on the product page lists ESD - HBM and ESD - CDM with the note "see datasheet".  The datasheet does not have these specifications.

TPS23756: AC source switch to PSE source seamlessly

Hi TI,

Our customer was try to use the connection below to do AC/PSE seamlessly switch.

According to datasheet 8.2.2.17, the PSE should keep alive because of PPD enable and R-Zener for MPS requirement.

But when AC source removed, we see the PSE must wait for the Hotswap switch fully turn-on then output power.

Here are some question:

1. Why the Hotswap didn't turn-on before AC removed even through PPD pull to high?

2. Is this connection (as Fig.33) could achieve power source seamlessly switch?

Although it is described as "No GND plane under SW" in Fig. 46, the GND layer is arranged in EVM, is it necessary?

If necessary, do you need to remove GND of all layers?

TPS560430: Quick question on tON tOFF spec.

I saw in datasheet the tON_MAX is 7.5us. under which condition will  tON_MAX approach 7.5us. 

Also the tON_MIN and tOFF_MIN spec are 2.1MHZ and 1.1MHZ  device has the same spec ?

Although I've tried to create macro model from PSPICE model it doesn't work.

Do you have any spice model to simulate TPS2662 on either TINA-TI or LT spice?

Hi team,

I'm an FAE supporting some industrial/medical companies in Japan.

My customer wants to simulate LM5067 but there is no spice model on TI.com.

Do you have any spice model of LM5067 or similar function part?

The customer will operate LM5067 as simple negative voltage e-fuse.

Incidentally, the customer also needs simple collateral of LM5067(Japanese is very helpful).

Because its datasheet has a bunch of pages.

TPS563201: Gain margin in DCAP2?

Customer inquired gain margin stability issue for TPS563201.

He measured bode-plot of TPS536201 along application note description as following.

15 db was measured from the data.

How should we consider this gain margin for DCAP2 mode?

There is no description for gain margin in application report SLVA546.

TPS2411: how to increase the Oring FET turning on speed for TPS2411

Hi,

From the datasheet of TPS2411, the gate source current is only 300uA. So the Oring FET turning on speed is very slow, especially for multi FETs in high current application. The long switch-over time would cause output voltage drop at worst case condition when one PSU shut down.

Do we have a way to increase the gate turn on ability? or Do we have new generation products for high current application?

TPS2546: How to control the power switch before TPS2546/IN

Hi,

There's a request to supply TPS2546/IN differently with 2 scenarios as below.

  1. When no device is connected to USB port, TPS2546/IN is supplied by a 5V/100mA LDO.
  2. When a device is connected to USB port,  TPS2546/IN is supplied by a 5V/3A BUCK.

The question here is, what can be used to control the switch between these two power sources?  Considering EN pin is enabled by default, how fast should TPS2546 become capable of supplying the current that the device needs?  If the switch from LDO to BUCK is too slow to supply the current in time, what will be the concerns here? 

We're originally considering to use STATUS pin to choose LDO or BUCK, I'm afraid it's too late.  (P.S.: TPS2546 will be configure in CDP mode for this case.)

BQ25703A: BQ25703A Battery Charging Issue

Dear Support Team,

We are using BQ25703A battery charger in our design. We are facing issue that when we enable the charging from the register settings then after some time the charge register bit 03/02h (Charge current) changes to 0. Due to this the battery charging current goes to 0. 

Attached is the schematic for the same. We are using the 3-cell li-ion battery in our design. Let us know your comments or tell us the software settings we need to do for our design.

My question:

During the mass production, we use .srec file to program the circuit board.

After charging -discharging test, if the customer wants to modify some parameters,

could we just import the GG file instead of reprogramming .srec file?

 Hello guys,

 One of our cuatomers is considering using TPS26600 for their new products. They want to use TPS26600 to limit their power supply output(24V)  current less than 2A. But in the future, their power supply output current would be increased up to 4A. They have a question about TPS26600 for the higher current product as the follows.

Q1. Can TPS26600 be connected in parallel to increase the current limit value up to 4A?

Q2. TPS26600 is very higher price compared 18V e-Fuse series. Do you have any product which is lower price than TPS26600 and can be used for 24V power line?
