LMZM23601: Short peak overload currents

Hello,

Can I drive short (~ 100us) load current pulses higher than 1A max output current? I would expect about 1.2A to 1.3A peak current.

Will LMZM23601 operate in current limiting (1A) mode in this case and peak currents will be handled by the output capacitor. If 5V output LMZM23601 connected to 4 Ohm load will it operate in current source (current limit mode) and drive 4 Ohm resistor with 1A current?

LM2623: LM2623 for 12V output

Hello,

We connected Boot, EN and VDD to either 3.3V or 5V from your reference design in the datasheet. 

Our output is set to 12V and we did not get the expected output but ~18V.

Could you please advise and provide us the reference design to achieve 12V output with 5V input.

Hi,

I got the issue about PMBus time out.

As I knew , I use CLK_LOW_TIMEOUT , but the timeout is 35ms and over spec by customer.

I want to refer to low logic on GPIO , but i can not find the GPIO like  PMBUS-CLK under below table.

if i use PMBusRegs.PMBST.bit.SCL_RAW , the PMBUS will be disconnected some time. What can I do ?

BQ27421EVM-G1A: Issue with remaining Capacity & full Charge Capacity reading

We are using removal battery of design Capacity 5200mAh. Finding issue while reading remainingCapacity &  fullChargeCapacity. Now using the sample code for bq27421.

Issue is when reading the these values always it read 0. Also tried reading unfiltered values but result is same.

When charging the battery these values will gradually start increase. But after reset or reboot of device they will be again reset to zero. 

Even if battery is fully charged after reboot it will show zero. Not sure where is issue.

Appreciate feedback/comments.

There is a OCP problem with the TPS51116 on customer board.

When setting the OCP trip point at 9A, however the trigger point in real measurement is up to 16A. it's already over design point a lot.

Could you help to check if there is any missing?

TPS24700: TPS24701 Gate pin shock, after 5 times it become normal

Hi,

  When I use TPS24701, I got into trouble, when it power up, the gate pin and vcc pin shocked several times before it work normal 

My scheme is as below, the power is 5VDC

my board load is about 0.18A, when power up,the VCC and GATE pin of the chip will shock several times before it can work properly, is it normal, the power up wave is as follow:

channel 1 is GATE pin wave, channel 2 is VCC pin wave;and the out and gate pin wave is as follows:

Hi team,

TLC6C5712-Q1 App. note recommeds below start up sequence. But, a customer wants to simplify the sequence with the condition of not using PWM/error

handling/diagnostic features. They will mainly turn on and off each LED simply. In this case, can you let me know the simplified sequence with only the necessary procedures?

1. Power up the system.
2. Set all fault mask registers value HIGH to mask all faults.
3. Write the [FORCE_ERR] register to check the ERR feedback circuit connection.
4. Set the corresponding fault mask registers bit LOW to make the required faults report to the ERR pin.
(Mask the PWMx fault if it is not used in the application.)
5. Clear the [RESET_POR] POR flag.
6. Reset the fault status [RESET_STATUS] registers.
7. Read the [READ_STATUS] registers or ERR pin state confirm fault information, if a fault exists, then
enter the fault handling routine.
8. Set the [ADJ_DIAG_START] bit HIGH to start the adjacent pin short detection.
9. Read the adjacent pin short-fault register to confirm the status of the adjacent pin short fault, if a fault
exists, enter the fault handling routine.
10. Set the output current by writing the [WRITE_CORRx] registers.
11. Verify the current dot correction by reading the [READ_CORRx] registers.
12. Configure the PWM mapping by writing the [WRITE_MAPx] registers.
13. Verify the PWM mapping by reading the [READ_MAPx] registers.
14. Write the [LOCK_MAP] command to lock the PWM mapping settings if required.
15. Configure the PWM input signal for LED fault diagnostics.
16. Turn on or turn off output channels by writing the [WRITE_CH_ON_MASKx] registers.
17. Verify channel on or channel off states by reading the [READ_CH_ON_MASKx] registers.
18. Adjust the PWM duty cycle for dimming if required.
19. Enter the main routine.

TPS53622: SVID addresses of the VCC1P8 & VCCANA rail on Intel Whiskey Lake platform

Hi Team,

According to Intel Whiskey Lake PDG, the SVID address should be set to 5d and 6d for the VCC1P8 and VCCANA rail, respectively.

However, looking at Table 5-2 of the TPS53622A datasheet, it seems that the SVID address can't be configured to 5d or 6d.

Does that mean the TPS53622A is not the right device for these voltage rails? If yes, what would be the right device for this?
