Hello

Below is EVM schematics, If put page 4 schematics on MB and put page 5 on anther board. Customer use connector to connect between two boards. Has any risk for this implementation ex: cause communication fail then no output..etc. Thank you.

TPS53632G: TPS53632G dc-dc

Part Number:TPS53632G

Hi !

I am  building a GaN FET based half-bridge converter with the controller TPS53632G. The parameters are:

1. Input Voltage: Vin=36-75V  DC

2. Output Voltage: Vout=28V

3. Output Current : Iout=10A.

4. Frequency: fsw=1 MHz

The driver on primary is LMG1205, and secondary is UCC27512. The current is sampled using the resistor and then amplified by INA 170 to the CSPx and CSNx pins of the controller, the gain of the INA170 is 1. Is it

a reasonable plan? If not,is there a more suitable solution to meet my parameters?

Now I'm running tests, but the PWM behaviour is not correct. Does it have anything to do with loop compensation? How to design loop compensation?

Lin

TPS543B20: About Bootstrap resistor value

Part Number:TPS543B20

Hi,

Could you tell me about TPS543B20 Bootstrap resistor value?
Customers are trying to install a Bootstrap resistor to reduce spike noise.

Customer use condition is :
Vin=10V
Vout=0.72V
Iout=10A~20A
Fsw≒870kHz

Customers are trying to use 3.3 ohm resistor.
Is this all right?
And Please tell me the upper limit of the resistor value which becomes a problem.

Part Number:TPS2373

Hi,

Here are some question about PoE cable length:

1. What is the limitation of PoE cable? Only the voltage drop? Or anything else?

2. What kind of cable you recommend to use for length 100m application?

3. refer to question 2, is there any testing report about that? Or any sucessful case?

Thank you.

BQ27441-G1: BQ27441 problem with 950 mAh LiPo battery

Part Number:BQ27441-G1

Hello! I have an BQ27441-G1A and 1000mAh and 950mAh batteries (max charge voltage 4.2V).

So with default Design Capacity (1340mAh), Design Energy, Terminate Voltage, and Taper Rate the battery 1000 mAh worked for about 35 hours in some design. If replace it with 950 mAh, then the operation time is reduced to 22 hours. I tried to implement a flowchart from SLUUAP7 (changed typical values, to a 950mAh battery) : as before reconfiguration 1000 mAh battery works for about 35 hours, and 950 mAh - about 22 ... What could be the problem? The flowchart precisely configures the microchip (the checksum is updated).

REF6133: REF6133 - interpreting noise data

Part Number:REF6133

Hi Team,

my customer is asking following questions about REF6133 noise data:

- Low Integrated Noise is listed as uVpp/V. Usually it is given as uVpp only or nV/Sqrt(Hz)

- for comparison, at REF3133 the 1/f noise is listed as uVpp

Can you please clarify/confirm?

Thanks!

HII I AM USING THE LT1054 TO GENERATE  ( -5V) as a negative supply for an op-amp

i build a circuit one a wire board and its working fine

i edited circuit and build it on a pcb and the circuit is not stable

i mean the output its not constant  -5v,  but it starts from -3v and goes down to -1 v when it reaches -1 it goes up to -3 ant then start to go down again to -1 v

its not stable ' i checked the routing on the pcb and the component and its correct .

do you have any idea why is this happening??

thanks

BQ35100: Error from TI Gauging Parameter Calcukator

Part Number:BQ35100

Hi,

TI Gauging Parameter Calculator reports the following errors:

Accuracy Error: Deviation is so high that it is most likely due to anomaly in the data. Please check that data files have recomended format, units and test schedule

I have reviewed the log file and increased the accuracy, but I still get this error.

* Warning: Discharge rate is too high. High rate reduces ID detection accuracy

I use C/20 as discharge current. This is the lowest current recommended in your instructions SLVA725A, "Simple Guide to Chemical ID Selection Tool (GPC)".

Please advice.

BQ500212A: Comm+ having dc offset, Vcc having noise like the gate signal during standby

$

Part Number:BQ500212A

Dear Supporting team,

For my bq500212a, the gate and coil voltage signal is fine as the datasheet with 80ms pulse and 300ms rest under led mode 2.

The led2 keep ON and led1 and 3 are Off which response as fault.

Two behavior are strange on the board.

1. The supply voltage is having pulse (like the gate signal) on top of the 3.3V

2. The comm+ signal is having offset, and pulse. which is the most different from correct discharge behavior.

I checked the demodulation circuit and the value are same with reference design. I did not use the diode on board as I notice later that its not included in "PWR550" design.

I wonder if my pulsed noise on Vcc will have serious problem?

Also, what are possible problems on the Comm+?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Calvin

BQ25121A: Error at power up

Part Number:BQ25121A

Dear all,

one of my AA is using the BQ25121A in the following condition

HW settings:

1. VIN = 5V (external P.S) present.

2. No battery connected to the board.

2. CD# PIN is driven by the CPU to ‘0’ logic.

3. LSCTRL pin is driven to ‘0’ logic.

At Power up they got the an error reported in the 0x00 register:

1. The CPU is communicating with the BQ  through I2C port (VCPU = VSYS = 2.5V – default BQ register value).

2. We perform all BQ registers through I2C port and receive an error, BQ register 0x00 - bits B7=1, B6=1.

Here is the BQ registers reading results:

Line 3 (see above) is reading of 0x00 BQ register = 0XC1  -  ERROR (bits B7=1, B6=1).

The BQ is not initialiazed at power up. They are just reading the registers. Unfortunately they cannot recover from this error.

Can you please advise how can they reset the BQ at powerup in order to recover from this error?

Is there any way to reset the BQ device by external GPIO pin?

regards,

Domenico

TPS92074: Is Analog Dimming possible from 0% - 100%

Part Number:TPS92074

Dear TI,

Referring to the data sheet  of the TPS92074 (SLUSBO7-Aug 2013) I have a question regarding the schematic in Figure 19. I would like to dim the light of the LED-string from 0% gradually up to 100%. But looking at the schematic I doubt if this is possible considering the diode and transistor in the input circuit. Also there is no description of operation referring to this figure. Could you give me some more insight in this?

Thanks

BQ33100EVM-001: use EVM with Maxwell BMOD0058 E016 B02 16V Supercap module

Part Number:BQ33100EVM-001

I would like to use the BQ33100EVM-001 board to monitor a Maxwell 16V Supercap Module BMOD0058 E016 B02. The Module has 6 capacitors in series with internal balancing and external taps (min capacitance is 58F @ 16v). The chip must be used in the stack mode since there is no access to the individual caps in the stack, but does the BQ33100EVM-001 board have to be modified by removing the present balancing components?

Hello Team,

could you help me to understand, why the efficiency does increase in the quick start calculator with smaller inductors in the region of 1 to 100mA?

At what load is the device operating in pulse skipping mode?

Dear TI-forum,

I would like to feed additional circuits (like a micro controller generating a 0-3V dim signal). If so, what is the maximum current I can draw?

Thanks,
