UCD3138A: UCD3138A Front End Dither Mode

Hi,

The issue is that the dither mode can increase the regulation precision, however, it also will cause the low-frequency oscillation on the output voltage ripple when the loop bandwidth is high enough. Is there any way to eliminate the LFO?


TINA/Spice/TLV62569: Can Webench Generated TINA File do Bode Plot Simulation?

UCC28951: bad efficiency at secondary Di rect. at light load

Hi Colin-san,

Customer complained bad efficiency at secondary Di rect. at light load.

New LLC IC UCC25630x is good light load efficiency if faster burst mode in.

I have asked  full bridge rect. using 4pcs of LM74700-Q1 and MOSFET.

It can be use maybe 48V output.

But It cannot, E2E response is GND pin of LM74700-Q1 is not good for this rect.

Can you make ideal fullbridge RECT circuit?

I think every EV,PHV isolated DCDC Unit maker want this ideal full-bridge rect.

LMR14050-Q1: Recovery waveform after UVLO

Hi team,

In an application (Vin=12V / Vout=5V) of LMR14050-Q1,

when dropping VIN down to 3.5V and then recovering to 12V, the output waveform is as below.  

As shown in the figure, the ouptut rises sharply up to 3.5V . Could you please exaplain why it occurs?

And is there any way to control the sharp slope?

WEBENCH® Tools/TPS61099: TINA-TI exported Model issue

HI team,

Customer inquired following WEBENCH issue;

 

Using TPS61099 with 3.3V Vin, L=2uH, Cin=Cout=10uF,Rtop=237K, Rbot=78.7K, Rload=33ohms,20ohms,13 ohms.

Downloaded model from WEBbench but cannot run the part with load drawing more than 125mA.
Actual hardware is running with 235mA load but simulation model does not match actual hardware. Seems the model for TPS61099 is limiting load current to 125mA. I need to simulate from 200mA to 300mA. Datasheet shows peak efficiency in the 200mA to 300mA range. Can you take a look at the model for the TPS61099 and get back to me on why I see the limitation in simulation?

I confirmed this issue using the TINA-TI exported model attached.

VIN=3.3V, VOUT=4.0V 0.3A

TPS92518: Thermal shutdown

Hello

My customer chosen TPS92518 and they are evaluating their final board.

Customer is using PWM dimming(PWM is not always Vcc)

We know thermal shut down is occur when device exceeds 175 deg-C with 10 deg-C hysteresis.

So, my understanding is: if temperature became lower than 175 -10 degnC, =165 deg-C, device is normal operation.

Is is correct?

Customer says IC became thermal shutdown (latched) unless power dow/up toggled.

Please advise.

-. Is it okay although SS pin is floating?

 Is it 3.0V? Can LM3914 works correctly when V+=3.0V and V-=0V?

TPS61169: Two specifications with different input power supply

Hi,

I am considering using the TPS61169 device for backlighting for digital cameras.
There are two proposed configurations.

(Configuration plan 1)
For input power supply, use two lithium-ion batteries in series.
In this case, the power supply applied to the inductor is always applied with the battery.
Also, VIN of TPS61169 is applied only when camera power is on.
(Question)
Do the above two power supply systems need to think about the sequence?
(Configuration plan 2)
For input power supply, use lithium ion battery in one cell.
(Question)
When VIN = 2.7V and VOUT = 30V, the duty becomes 90% or more, but is there a problem in use?

Hello there,

The TPS659039-Q1 manual describes itself as having different power domains: VRTC, VSYS, VRTC (fail-safe), VIO (VIO_IN)
E.g:
Power domain VIO is the VIO_IN pin input from the chip
The power domain VSYS is the VCC1 pin input from the chip.


My question is:
Which input is used by the power domain VRTC and VRTC (fail-safe) respectively? Should they be connected to the output power LDOVRTC?

Hi TI Experts,

We are using the TPS61099EVM, but we found out the inductor suggestion is mismatch.

At the datasheet, it is recommend to use Inductor as below:

 While for the EVM, it is recommend to use this inductor:

1)      EVM board and datasheet recommend inductor are different

2)      By referring to the EVM Inductor part number, it’s supposed to be in Metal Alloy Inductor appearance.

 

3)      But at the real EVM board, it is shielded chip coil part:

 

Can you kindly please help to confirm the part used in the development board?

My customer will going to use TPS659037 for AM5728 power supply.
They have a following questions:

Q1.
In TPS659037 INT2 source, there are (1)WDT, (2)RTC_TIMER, (3)RTC_ALARM, (4)RESET_IN.
For what purpose does AM5728 use above interrupt(1)-(4)?
Is it necessary to detect with INT signal?

Q2.
Is above (4)RESET_IN required in the configuration of "Figure 3 Reset Connections with POWERHOLD Configuration"
in following user's guide?

Hi everyone, 

I have one issue concerning the CEDV parameter process in 'CellTermV'. The battery (2Series) has a set termination voltage of 3.2V=3200mV. However, in the Hightemp_highrate.csv file, the actual termination voltage falls above 3200 mV, which is 3307 mV. My concern is whether I shall use 3200 mV or the actual 3307 mV?
