Part Number:TPS5410

As title, I have 3 question.

First , please look at picture.

If the TPS5410 output is 5 Voltage,I need to control the ripple value at 3-5%;May be is 150mV-250mV(ideal)

But i find the TPS5410 oringinal EVM Board, which output is for 5 Voltage ,And the ripple is 500~720mV.

then I  have 3 Quesiton.

1.First , i don't know how to choose the red part value , and i don't know the red part value could cause the ripple or noise effect the circuit

2.

I modification the position of the input cap, output cap, inductor, and some component is reference the EVM board like this

but i test the board of two circuit , and result is didference ,why??

3.

I modification the layout reference this picture input cap and inductor is close to TPS5410,

I seem the noise maybe has reduce, but it is not perfect than EVM Board

My Board is 800mV~1.9V , but the EVM board is only 500~700mV why?

This is two circuit board of result

this is EVM board

Part Number:UA723

Dear, Sir.

My customer was used LM723 -55 to 150 deg.C product for their systems.

Unfortunately it is impossible to purchase now.

Their system temprature range is -10/-5 to 70/85 deg.C, so they used LM723.

UA723 operating range is 0 to 70 deg.C.

Do you have a plan to prepare the more wider temprature range product on UA723?

Please give your advice.

TPS65281: latching of buck controller, current control for buck controller

$

Part Number:TPS65281

I am using only the buck circuit of this device (as I use it with about 10V output voltage). It seems  there is a latching also in the buck circuit (e.g at an overload, also sometimes at power up), which can be reset by toggling the EN (buck). In the data sheet it seems the latching is located in the switch (only).

Is there any application for a current output using  for the buck circuit only, at about 10V output voltage? I plan to do it using an external OPAMP, using the COMP as an input. (I did this with the TPS55330 and it worked). I probably will use TPS65281-1

Thanks.

LM2842: Won't start - stays at 3.28V

Part Number:LM2842

I have a wired behavior with my LM284x. My circuit should output 5.5V.

If I slowly raise the input voltage Vin from 0...8V the output voltage will raise until 3.28V and stay there. The regulator won't start switching. The same happens if I set my PSU to 8V and enable the PSU because the PSU output raises "slowly" to 8V.

If I set my PSU to 8V and plug in Vin — the regulator will start correctly and Vout is 5.5V.

It seems like the dV/dt has an impact on the function of the regulator. Do you have any idea how to overcome this problem?

Thanks PS: On the Vcc line is a 100u Cap, not visible on this schematic.

TPS92515: Can TPS92515 work correctly under VIN=24V and VOUT=1.3V?

Part Number:TPS92515

 Hello guys,

One of my customers is evaluating TPS92515 using TI official EVM for their new products. But the output current is not stable. I asked them what the input/output voltage are.

Their conditions are VIN=24V, VOUT(LED Vf)=1.3V. I think the on duty in that case is about 5% and it is very small on duty.

Can TPS92515 work correctly under VIN=24V and VOUT=1.3V conditions?

Could you please give me your reply?

 Best regards,

 Kazuya Nakai.

Part Number:BQ27Z561

My battery is 4.2V Lithium Polymer. & its nominal voltage is 3.8V. Battery Capacity is 4000mAH. & followed below steps.

  1. Battery is connected to fuel gauge and fuel gauge is connected to PC
  2. In the BQ Studio Clicked on the Read All button in the Data Memory window. & Exported text file with a .gg.csv extension, now i have modified below parameters
  1. [Gas Gauging][State][QMax]: 4000
  2. [Gas Gauging][IT Cfg][Term Voltage]: 3.0V
  3. [Gas Gauging][Advanced Charge Algorithm][Charge Term Taper Current]: 200mA
  4. [Gas Gauging][Advanced Charge Algorithm][Low/Standard/High/Rec Temp Charging][Voltage]: 4.2
  • Imported modified .gg.csv file to the bq studio.
  • Clicked on Write_All button and flashed parameters [Verified parameter after Read All button and checked all modified parameter in the BQ studio Data Memory.]
Setting Chem ID
  1. Selected ChemID: 4.4 V (ID 3142)  [As our battery dont have any listed IDs, we have selected 3142 as per bq27z561EVM-011  user guide]
  2. Clicked "Program Selected Chemistry"
  • Now i go to the Watch window and added below register & started logs.
    1. Voltage
    2. Current
    3. Temperature
    4. Relative State Of Charge
    5. Full Charge Capacity
    6. Remaining Capacity

Now received logs is such like that

  1. Voltage - 3.4V
  2. Current - 0
  3. Temperature - 23.5
  4. Relative State Of Charge - 3%
  5. Full Charge Capacity - 5075
  6. Remaining Capacity  - 128

Now i have started charging to battery. & after few minutes its logs are below.

  1. Voltage - 3.5V
  2. Current - 180mA
  3. Temperature - 24.5
  4. Relative State Of Charge - 4%
  5. Full Charge Capacity - 5075
  6. Remaining Capacity  - 208mA

Query[1] Why full charge capacity is showing 5075mA while i have already set the Qmax=4000mA?

Query[2] How to generate the correct Chem ID for our application

Query[3] How to generate golden file image for our application?

Part Number:TPS54360

Hello E2E,

SW-port is clamped to GND by diode, this port has limit for negative voltage -0.6V on absolute maximum rating.
Please see the fig-25 on datasheet.
I think that the bottom voltage is less than -0.6V.

Question;
Is this waveform image a sketch? Or is it a real waveform?

Part Number:UC3825

Hi,

I am using it Full bridge converter configuration. Input dc is 250V to 380V. Output is variable from 0 to 200V. I am observing Only one pulse release in one of the two PWM output's for lower load or low voltage conditions(around below 10% duty cycle). I am doing external PWM compensation. I am using it only for PWM release. I am facing issue when vdc_error goes below ramp valley value(0.7V to 1.25V). Using only it for pulse release. I have attached schematic,

Hello, I´m Federico Linares Hardware Engineer from ControlNet and I´m developing a new product with TLC59116IPWR Led Driver. This IC works good in normal condicions, but fails in the

IEC 61000-4-2 electromagnetic compatibility Test (the IC Reset and the registers returns to original state).

Could you recommend us some configuration to improve the stability of power and reset line?.

Best Regards.

LMG1205: Vdd present before Vin

Part Number:LMG1205

Team,

my customer has experience with gate drivers and often sees issues with Vin being present before Vdd (in general).

Can you explain if this is also true for LMG1205?
Basically, the question is if they need to pay attention to power sequencing or not.

Is there any hint in the datasheet for this?

Thanks!

EV2400: USB cable defective

Part Number:EV2400

On Thursday, I was shipped a brandnew EV2400 via Mouser in The Netherlands. The USB cable in the box is not functional. The 3 green led's do not light, nor does the PC's speakers emit any sound. Two other USB cables that I have work 100%, 3 green led's are lit and the PC speakers emit a sound. Battery Management Studio works as expected. The USB cable from last shipment refuses to make a connection. As 2 cables work and 1 does not, I put the blame on the 3rd USB cable. The "defective" cable does not work on a microHAM microKEYER either Thanks.

TPS53641: Fusion Digital Power Designer

$

Part Number:TPS53641

We have cases that our boards fails SVID on 1.8V intermittently. The Fusion data captured when the board passes fine, and when the

Board sees SVID shows that there are differences. (Refer to attached files for Fusion data ).

Since it is the same board, the same components, boards are on bench with fan being applied to them( no over-temp, no over-current). What

could contribute to reading different values? Note that once board is in SVID or working file, the Fusion data is reliable, that is it doesn’t change

upon “Refreshing All Parameters”, and “Polling Status” shows the same values untill boards are powered off.

When board is powered back on, it could be good, or go into SVID state.

Further investigation seems the value shown in Fusion for boards that show SVID issue, are the factory default value. It means

To me that the device, on power up, doesn’t get the chance to load the values into it’s registers. Would you please

Give me some guidelines that I could check, and correct the loading of values on power up.

On Power up, the time delay to pin 14 (V3R3) is requested to have a slew rate of larger than 1.5V/msec. this means to reach 3.3V, it should

Have a ramp up of 2.2msec. The boards that are working they show to have a ramp up of 770 usec.  On the board that sometimes it fails

With SVID issue (the VR output is at VBOOT value of 1.7v), when I changed the ramp up to 3msec, then it always fails. When I changed it

Back to around 770 usec, then it started to pass sometimes( once in 5 times power on), and goes into SVID the rest of times. Any input on this?

Thanks,

The difference that I see (in Fusion 'all config") between boards passing and boards with SVID, are:

Vout_max :                         3.04V     when in SVID

                                           1.8V       when passing

SVID Alert register           0x36      when in SVID

                                         0x37     when passing

Vout_command                1.7V       when in SVID

                                         1.8V       when passing

Iout_OC_Fault_Limit      67A        when in SVID

                                       68A        when passing

Iout_OC Warn_Limit       54A        when in SVID

                                        55A        when passing

Iout_output_current      Max 85                  Min 0.00               when in SVID

Max 85                  Min 10.00            when passing

Temperature                     Max 144.0            Min 34:00            when in SVID

Max 144.0            Min 23:00            when passing

Part Number:BQ76940

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to build a BMS for an 9S4P 18650 Li-Ion battery pack, for an E-Bike. I plan on using BQ76940 as my AFE device, PIC24FJ64GB002 as my microcontroller, and I2C communication protocol . However, the sample schematic from (www.ti.com/.../tidrqy7.pdf) which I plan to use for reference, has an extra device called BQ76200, which is not present in the schematic from the BQ76940 datasheet (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/bq76940.pdf). Is the BQ76200 essential? If not, can I use the sample schematic as reference but without the BQ76200 and replacing the BQ78350 with my PIC24?
