Part Number:TPS92410

 Hello guys,

 One of my customer is considering using TPS92410 for their next products.

 They want to drive 20~25pcs of white LED from AC100V with 20~30 mA, small parts count and no isolation.

 Can TPS92410 drive 20~25pcs of white LED from AC100V without TPS92411

 Your reply would be much appreciated.

 Best regards,

 Kazuya Nakai.

Hello.

1.I have a question about the CHG mosfet(Q1) drive,in the figure 9 we can see that the chg FET drive circuit  take "GND" reference for grante,the chg output connect to the gate of Q1,when without external load,the source of Q1 is floating, i think because of  the source of Q1 and the chg FET drive circuit not reference for a same grante,the Cgc  capacitance of Q1 has no charging loop,so Q1 can not be turn on.Who can tell me the working principle about  this circuit?

2.Is there any MOSFET drive IC used for BMS low side mosfet?bq76930 drivecapability is not  enough.

LM5176-Q1: High Power Consumption with no load

Part Number:LM5176-Q1

Hello there.

We have built a buck-boost converter with LM5176 based on the evaluation board designs, with 12V and 12A output from 10V-24V inputrange. The circuit worked as expected with low ripple and good transient response.

The problem is when we powered it up with low current limit (around 20mA), from the bench power supply, while the inrush current for starting was about 200mA leading to a hiccup behavior of the bench power supply. The result is that the circuit is somehow damaged and we can figure out how. Although the output voltage is correct and all the gate signals are acting correctly, there is a significant higher consumption than before with no load. With 24V input it shows around 135mA consumption.

We have already changed the controller IC, input capacitors, upper and lower MOSFETs and inductor but nothing seems to correct the problem. Measurements in boost capacitors do not show anything abnormal and diodes are measured correctly.

We haven't tested yet the circuit with load, after the fault occurred.

Any help on what to suspect for the excessive power consumption would be helpful.

Thank you in advance.

HI

My current customer is trying to develop 4S4P Lithium Battery Charger with BQ24773.

The circuit configuration was based on EVM.

I have the following questions in the following circuit configuration.

1. Connection part of PROCHOT
2. The part where C114 is not connected symmetrically with SRP part in SRN.

Could you review the attached circuit one more time?

Can you tell us what you need to be aware of when reviewing the circuit?

LMZ31530: Behaviour when output current greater than 30A but less than internal limit of 40A

Part Number:LMZ31530

This part is rated for an output current from 0 to 30A. It has an internal current limit threshold of 40A (typical). We would like to find out the behaviour of this device between 30A and 40A.

1) In other words, how will the device behave if the current is greater than 30A but less than that required to trigger the internal current limit threshold of 40A?

2) If the device has significant cooling so that the junction temperature does not approach the thermal shutdown limit of 145C, is it safe to operate the device in this region (above 30A and below internal current limit of 40A)?

Thank you.

I want to make a 13s12p (1.5 kWh pack) for Electric vehicle application. The cell chemistry is Li-NMC. So I need a BMS that has all basic OCP,OVP,OTP protections and passive/active cell balancing. I also want to add charge controller and SoC measurement. Kinldy suggest me few automotive grade Ic combinations that I can implement all the above features.
Thank you,

Mahesh.

LP5907: Output 1.6MHz 15mV ripple when use a 1uF 0201 cap

Part Number:LP5907

Hi team,

Customer change 0402 cap to a same value 0201 cap, and find 1.6MHz 15mV ripple. He added a 0.22uF cap in parallel and this ripple disappear.

Datasheet require output capacitor range is 0.7uF to 10uF, and output capacitor ESR range is 5 to 500mOhm.

1. As impedence and ESR of capacitor is related to frequency, which frequency is specified by datasheet?

2. As specification is same for these two cap below, what's the cause of ripple?

BQ78350: The capacity information of battery are not expected

Part Number:BQ78350

Dear E2E,

I found that the value of capacity register are not expected.

At first, the voltage I get is 0x6ff2 = 28658mV which is almost in full charge and the current is 0x1dc = 476mA.

/ # i2cget -y 107 0x0b 0x9 w -f

0x6ff2     => 28658mV

/ # i2cget -y 107 0x0b 0xa w -f

0x01dc   => 476mA

Then, I try to get some capacity information below.

/ # i2cget -y 107 0x0b 0x3 w -f

0x6001   => This is battery mode. The CAPM bit is set to 0 which means the capacity will report data in mAh.

/ # i2cget -y 107 0x0b 0xd w -f

0x001a   => 26% ; This should be close to 100%.

/ # i2cget -y 107 0x0b 0xe w -f

0x001a   => 26%This should be close to 100%.

/ # i2cget -y 107 0x0b 0xf w -f

0x0d81   => 3457 * 10mAh = 34570 mAh ; This is over SPEC so much.

I think the i2c commands work well because the value of voltage and current are what we expected, but not sure why the value of capacity are not.

BR,

Jason

Part Number:ISO5452

There is DZD215 and DD216 on the circuit of the ISO5452 as recommanded. We know there are some parasitical capacitance inside the Zener and Diode.

Can these affect the response time during over current protection with DESAT pin? What's your opinion with this? or how to deal with it?

Very thanks.

BQ27542-G1: BQ27542-G1 DEVICE_TYPE Control Subcommands

Part Number:BQ27542-G1

Dear Engineers,

There is a question of BQ27542-GI DEVICE_TYPE Control Subcommands. I want to read "device_type", according to the data table description, first write 0x0000 to registers 0x01 and 0x02 and then send subcommand 0x0001 to registers 0x00 and 0x01, but the last read out is 0x1, not 0x0541. How can I read the 0x00 and 0x01 registers normal?
Ps: other registers is consistent.

Looking forward to your support, thank you~

LM1117: Stability of fixed LDO LM1117MPX-5.0

Part Number:LM1117

Hello,

I use LM117MPX-5.0 in following conditions:

- Input cap is MLCC 47uF

- Output cap is MLCC 47 uF

- Load current is 200 mA

- Vin is 6.5V

- Vout is 5V (fixed LDO)

The ESR graph for  capacitors shows ESR of about 70-80 mOhm at low frequencies, decreasing to about 5  mOhm at 100kHz.

May I consider these values to provide stability?

Thanks

LM5017: How to get isolated output voltage with 600mA output current?

$

Part Number:LM5017

Hi,

I have a 48 V dc supply and need to get 3.3 V,5 V out of it. So i decided to use 2 * LM5017 regulator, one for every voltage level.

According to your user's guide (BOOSTXL-3PhGaNInv Evaluation Module), you used this configuration for LM5017 as On-Time Synchronous Buck Regulator

but in ( AN-2204 LM5017 Isolated Supply Evaluation Board), you use it as isolated converter. So i nee to know what is the difference between the two configurations?

Also, what is the difference between using LM5017 and LM5160

Finally, What are the other (48V input ) to(3.3,5 and 12 V isolated voltages) upon 600 mA?

Thanks in advance.
