Hi TI experts,
I want to change Security Keys as "20180823" via Bqstudio.Advanced Comm SMB. Is below step 6~8 right?
At FULL ACCESS.
1. Key in Write Word command=00
2. Key in Word=0035
3. Click "Write Word" bottom.
4. Key in Read Block command=23
5. Click "Read Block" bottom to check default key is "14 04 72 36 FF FF FF FF".
6. Key in Write Block command=44
7. Key in Block command=35 00 18 20 23 08 FF FF FF FF
8. then click "Write Block" then go back to step 5 to check key.

BQ40Z50-R2: AutoCycle

Hi there,
I'm after some guidance using the AutoCycle function built into Battery Management Studio 1.3.54.1 with the EV2400 and bq40z50-R2.
I had the VCC pin switching at one stage (charger), but couldn't get the load side (SDA with open collector) to work.
I then tried an EV2300 and the function dissapeared from the menu.
I then reverted to the EV2400 and it's still missing from the menu!
Any assistance will be appreciated.

TPS54302: Reverse Protection

Dear Team,
I m using reverse protection mosfet circuit as described in the image that attached below for TPS54302 and output voltage is set to 5V.
Tested with 0 to 30V 5A adjustable power supply as input and works without a problem. (Also works without a problem with a 12V 7Ah SLA battery.)
But when i connected a 24V 7Ah SLA battery (output voltage was 25V) to the circuit, both mosfet and TPS54302 were burnt out.
Is there something that i miss all along?

We have 7-cell battery. Can't run discharge. Curent lower then -200mA is normal, but higher then -200 mA goes to DCH FET closing. In this tim only BAL_EN register changes its value.

LMR62014: 5V to 6V converter makes lot of heat and unstable output

I have been testing above circuit to drive a scooter headlight unit rated for about 6 to 7VDC up to 0.5A from 5VDC input.
When turned on, led is bright enough but after about 10mins of use, brightness degrades and even flickering happens.
The module becomes very hot when it happens.
Is there anything wrong with the circuit?
For reference, I use VLS252010HBX-100M-1 for the Inductor.

Automotive LDO Suggestion
Hi team,
May I know TI's LDO has fully protection for output short circuit? In my case, we need 24VDC convert to 12VDC / 60mA for ouput spec and wide input rang up to 60VDC for load dump.
Looks TPS7A16-Q1 is suitable for our application, but output short circuit implement by thermal shut down, responds is slowly. Could you help us to suggest best solution? thanks!

TPSM846C23: TPSM846C23 fell off on second reflow

The inductor on the power modules falls off after second reflow. Hence i would like to know more about the reflow profile of this device & does the reflow applies to the onboard inductor as well?
- Is there any recommended process to mount this part? Please share document as reference
- Are there limits of times a device can undergo reflow?
- Any recommendation/advise to resolve this issue?

BQ25895: Battery voltage not correct when battery pack voltage is drop ~3V

Dear Sir/Madam,
My customer is using BQ25895 for 1S4P Li-ion configuration. he detected that battery voltage value is not correct. After investigation they found that when unit is operating on battery, the CPU cannot read the BQ25895 registers for charger IC Voltages & Current when Battery Pack Voltage is about 3v.
when Battery Pack voltage is 3.5v to 4.2v all reading are correct.
when the Battery Pack voltage drops to 3v, it cannot read the BQ25895 ADC values correctly.
Below are the values of Registers,these registers are ADC values for Battery Voltages & Current. Most register reading is correct except for Register 0x0E to 0x12
Can you help to advise the what to look for?

UC1823A: NI pin threshold voltage of UC1823A

Hi,
In our system, we use UC1823A as a voltage mode controlled PWM IC. As you know, NI (non-inverting) pin is connected to a reference voltage level. This voltage reference is adjustable between 0V to 5V. However, we observed that UC1823A does not create PWM output when NI pin is below than 650 mV. It seems there is a threshold voltage for NI pin. Is this observation is correct ? If correct, how can we operate pur system when reference voltage level is 500 mV ?

TPS51120: EMI Issues

Hi,
I am using a TPS51120 to give a 5V and a 3V3 to my system from an unregulated voltage (12-24V). I observe a lot of electromagnetic disturbances
(radiated for sure, conducted maybe) and it seems that they come from the TPS51120. I think I have followed correctly the datasheet to sizing components,
so is there additional filters (input filter for example) or something to check particularly to reduce disturbances ? I haven't done the routing myself but I don't see
aberrant mistakes. I am using the TPS51120 in current mode, output max 8A, 580Khz for 3.3V an 380khz for 5V.

BQ34Z100-G1: bq34z100-g1

I am in the process of relaxing, discharging a battery pack to generate a golden file.
Here is my issue: The bqstudio is crashing after 6 or so hours when i am logging the data while the battery pack is relaxing.
I get 'Not able to find a free communications adapter' error and then data logging stops.
I have been told to relax the battery pack (LFP battery) for 5 to 10 hours. My next step is to discharge the battery at 200 mA and log the data. That would 22 hours of data logging.
I lose precious time whenever the crash happens.
What is causing the bqstudio to crash? i am using EVM2400.
What is the current draw of a EVM2400?
My setup has a laptop with EVM2400 connected to it and the EVM connected to my prototype which has the FG on it.
Please advise what could be causing this data crash on bqstudio?

I have an issue running WebBench with TPS54418. It cannot load the design and goes to Oops page with links to start a new design or contact support. Someone had reported the same issue last year. If the automated design is not working, is there a way to manually create the circuit in webbench?
