Part Number:BQ2057W

Hello,

I´m going to use the bq2057W to charge a two-cell lithium-ion battery. This are the battery:

I have an input voltage of 9V with a current of 1A. I have calculated the values for the transistor, but the theta that I obtain is very difficult to find in the market. Do you recommended me some transistor pnp o mosfet- p?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

i use in my design a LP2951 Device. I read the data sheet and found an circuit diagram of the device ( Systemlevel Page 15  and Transistorlevel Page 17). After importing

the Spice Model i discovered that  most blocks are modeled in ADS as SDD-Blocks. Is there a possibility to identify which Spice Node within the Spice Model correspond to

the circuit nodes within the Circuit Schematic on Page 17?

Part Number:BQ25122

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to use BQ25122 in a wireless earphone application. My Vin will be 5V to charge a single cell Li-ion battery. My SW buck output will be from 1.2V to 1.4V (300mA) (not fixed yet). May I know is there any recommended inductor that can give better efficiency based on my design requirement? Appreciate if you can share me some information on the inductor selection. Thank you very much.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Part Number:BQ76930

We are confused about the function about Alert over ride. Such as the details in our datasheet.

Could you please give me some comments about this?

In my opinion, when we use ALERT for output, it only output alert signal. But when the problem is serious, the ALERT pin will be pull high. And only can we manual to set host to clear it up?

Hope for your comments. Have a nice day.

UCC28070A: Best arrangement for 3 phase (400Vac) power factor correction.

Part Number:UCC28070A

I am trying to construct a power factor correction scheme for a 3 phase 400Vac power supply.

According to previous information from TI, boost topology is suitable for industrial enviroment so that I eliminated the buck topology which may have some other advantages.

I selected UCC28070 as the controller. (boost topology)

I do not want to use the neutral line, The power supply has to use only the 3 phases.

What can be the best arrangement for this setup?

I send the following schematics containing 3 seperate PFC units for each phase.

Each input is between phases. This setup does not need neutral point.

Would you recommend a simpler setup containing less switches and diodes. This setup needs 3 HV igbts and 3 HV diodes.

BQ78PL116: RESET in Safety history

Part Number:BQ78PL116

Hi,

We are using BQ78PL116 in 4S6P LiFEPO4 battery pack. Recently we got customer issue saying that battery pack is not able to charge/discharge.

When we checked the safety history, event name called "Reset" has been seen. What would cause to set this safety event ?

We tried to discharge the battery pack to see whether we are able to replicate the issue. We have been able to see the safety event RESET along with CUV , Precharge condition.

After removing the load, the cell voltage goes up and BQ is able to communicate with BQwizard. Surprisingly all CFET, DFET and PFETs are turned ON which is not expected as few cell voltages are less than CUV recovery threshold of 2.8V.

Although it's NRND part, we require your support on this issue. Looking forward to resolve this issue as soon as possible

Vasanth

BQ25895: BQ25895 battery voltage read error and VSYS pin has no voltage sometimes

Part Number:BQ25895

When we debug the BQ25895, we encountered the following problems:
1. Connect the battery, turn on the ADC function, can not read the effective voltage of the battery, other parameters can be read normally.
2. No battery, VBUS has 5V Input, sometimes VSYS pin has no voltage, it feels less stable

LM53602-Q1: power consumption

Part Number:LM53602-Q1

Team,

we are struggling with power consumption on LM53602-Q1. In standby mode we have less than 1mA current @ 3.0V but on the input on 12V we have around 5mA.

This is quite lot for battery application and can't get it down. When set all parameters and components as on the board in the simulator it looks it should be significantly less than 1mA on input. Switching signals looks good on oscilloscope with exception of higher pulse frequency on discontinuous mode than it should be which is in consistence with higher consumption.

Input voltage is in range 11V to 13.5V depending on the battery type and state. Power consumption on the +3V3D_CPU in around 100uA when CPU is in sleep mode and Q4 is closed. We have measured current with instrument and laboratory power supply. In normal operational mode current is around 500mA and at max it goes to 750mA. In standby mode we are measuring around 5mA on power supply input side (battery) and still on the +3V3D_CPU side we have 100uA.

I will share schematic and layout offline via e-mail to someone who can help on this.

Thanks for your feedback.

Boost controller shutdown

Hi TI team,

I was experimenting with few Boost controller and created a test condition where I stutdown the controller i.e the controller stopped switching. In this case, it turns off the MOSFET M. Voltage at VOUT node comes down to VIN. Hence, constant (VIN/R) DC current flows from the supply through inductor/diode. This current in turn loads the supply in shut down state as well. Is this expected that VIN will be loaded in shutdown state also? Please correct me if I am wrong.

LM25085: How to work in 100% Duty cycle mode?

$

Part Number:LM25085

My customer is now using LM25085 on their docking project, VIN is 20V, and we control GPIO from MCU to set different Resistor ratio to control output , 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V.   But we still need the LM25085 work in 100% duty cycle mode, and Vout could reach 20V . Below is my question,

   1. Does LM25085 could implement the function I need? On the one side, could output different voltage smaller than VIN 20V, On the other side, could output 20V , in 100% duty cycle mode.

2. If could use below application circuit and change RFB1/RFB2 Ratio to make VOUT = 20V  = VIN?  LM25085 output voltage default is 5V.

Part Number:TPS56221

Dear Team.

We are using TPS56221DQPT in one of our previous design.

Now we are implementing USB 3.0 Power delivery option in the design which supports from 5V-20V.

Please suggest us whether there are any footprint and pin to pin compatible part of  TPS56221, which supports the below requirements.

1) Input voltage range: 5V - 20 V

2) Output voltage range: 5.5 V max

3) Max output current: 25 A

4) Efficiency : >90%

We will be using the regulator to convert any voltage in the range of 9V - 20V to 5V.

If there are no footprint compatible parts, kindly request you to suggest any new parts which can be used for the USB 3.0 power delivery option.

Thanks and Regards

Part Number:UCC27524

Hi

We have a product design UCC27524.

We use electric meter (diode position)to measure the pin2 voltage . See the picture as attached.

We can measure some components exist 0.8V and some components doen't exist any measurement voltage.

Do you have any idea about what the voltage value when I measure pin2(INA) to PIN3(GND) by diode position of electric meter?(Please visit the site to view this file)

Sincerely,

Chin

BQ4050: Coulomb Counter - datasheet

Part Number:BQ4050

Hi,

In section 6.14 in the datasheet its written that 1 lsb = 3.71uV.

Doesnt it mean that the minimum volage on the VSENSE is 3.71uV?

If it is right, it means that i can increase the sense resistor to ~100mOhm , so the current of 100uA (Discharge current) times 50mOhm would be 10uV.

If i increase the sense resistor to 1Ohm,  so the current of 100uA times 50mOhm would be 100uV. This voltage is less than  3.71uV...

Am i right?

Thanks,

Arkadi

Part Number:UCC2897A

Dear Sir,

I have a new project: Vin=9V~36V, Vo=54V/7A, would use UCC2897A.

I would refer PMP5123 circuit to do design, but I saw WEBENCH show Vo max=50V

Does UCC2897A can design Vo over 50V ? or you have another better solution.

Thanks!

Steven
