UCC28951-Q1: UCC28950, PSFB, NO OUTPUT SIGNAL

I HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM IN WHICH I AM SURE IT WILL BE A SIMPLE FIX, WITH YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE THAT IS.

Problem: Simple, no output signal (OUTA thru OUTF)

Attached you will find the excel spreadsheet for the UCC28950-Q1. All components are a .1% tolerance and are the exact values of the excel spreadsheet. Running PCM, current sense and voltage feedback from the output voltage.

I am not using OUTE and OUTF therefore I have Schottky diodes in their place.

Question 1 -- Should Pin #4 have voltage on it. Pin #2 (non-inverting input) has 2.5 volts and Pin #5 (non-inverting input) has 5.4 Volts. From what I have read, Pin #4 is equal to the lower of the two, therefore I should see around 2.5 volts on Pin #4. I measured 200 mV on Pin #4.

Question 2 -- Should I have voltage on Pin #6, #7 and #8. I show 200 mV which is what I have on the ground Pin #24.

Question 3 -- Pin #9 also shows 400 mV, should that be around 1.5 volt, just guessing.

Question 4 -- Why does Pin #10 have 5.0 Volts. To me this is just wrong.

Question 5 -- Pin #11 also shows 200 mV, same question.

Question 6 -- Pin #12 show 169 mV, should this be about 450mV.

If you can answer these questions and get me output on Pin #19 thru Pin #22, that would be great.

Please review the attached and send me any info bad or good.

As talked, Please help to confirm the questions below for CFBD18 WLC BQ51222.
1. WPG_N signal status when wireless charge state. we have measured the signal only two low pluse and then keeps high.is it correct?
2. expWPG_N and PD_DET_N signal action status.
3. When the USB is Charged, the PD_DET_N signal from low to High the delay time is 12 seconds. is that correct? can we adjust the timing?

Absolute maximum value of junction temperature is the same as the thermal shutdown temperature value T_TSD. Will this cause permanent damage to device or deteriorate its performance if the device is operated at thermal trip level for prolonged period of time ?

BQ28Z610: difference between battery voltage and pack voltage

Dear Ti Experts,

My customer found similiar issue when they test BQ28z610. they finished calibration and the voltage difference is around 5mv, after learing, many pack's voltage difference between "battery voltage" and "pack voltage"  is above 40mv. Customer tested to set and clear REST flag , the result is same. And they found the current was 0 all the time, the pack is no load, just connected with EV2300
Could you kindly help to advise the reasons which may cause this phenomenon? And does this phenomenon will cause any risk to gauge functioning well ? Thanks a lot.

It is ok to connect FLT pin to EN pin (IO from MCU) with 100 Ohm resistor?

The resistor between pin 5 and 1 is option when TPS2065CDBVR is not assembly.

LM5009: discontinuous operating frequency

According to datasheet, the frequency in discontinuous operating mode is described at bellow.

The variation of frequency is similar to the variation of Ton as you mentioned at the previous post.

How about in discontinuous operating ? ( How much is the variation in DCM? Is that same as CCM?)

Whether will the pulse width of DPWM actually change when the filter output to DPWM or DPWM registers value change 250 - 750ps?

I have done a test on my board. I configured the DPWM to work at normal mode and CLA_EN = 0,

        Dpwm0Regs.DPWMEV1.all = 608;  
        Dpwm0Regs.DPWMEV2.all = 608 + pwr_para_config.max_duty;    
        Dpwm0Regs.DPWMEV3.all = 608 + pwr_para_config.max_duty + pwr_para_config.deadtime2
        Dpwm0Regs.DPWMEV4.all = 608 - pwr_para_config.dead_time1;

pwr_para_config.max_duty would increase certain value and then after 10ms decrase same value and wait 10ms, repeatedly. So the pulse width of DPWM0A would change certain value periodically. 

When pwr_para_config.max_duty changed 1 periodically, and the pulse width of DPWM0A would change 250ps periodically. But there was no change on output voltage. I had tried to set the change value to 1 to 4. Until I set the change value to 4, which means the pulse width of DPWM0A would change 1ns periodically, there was dynamic change on output voltage.

First waveform is the output voltage ripple when the pulse width of DPWM0A change 0.75ns periodically. We can see that there is no obvious change.

Second waveform is the output voltage ripple when the pulse width of DPWM0A change 1ns periodically. We can see that there is dynamic change.

So I would like to know that whether will the pulse width of DPWM actually change when the filter output to DPWM or DPWM registers value change 250 - 750ps?

The queries regarding this IC are:

1. what is the significance/function of learn mode in the IC.

2. when learn mode is enabled, the battery discharges completely but it does not start to charge once it is depleted below threshold. should the adapter be reconnected in order to charge the battery.

Hello, when we are validating the TPS65903x-Q1 PMIC  regulator used in one of the product , we observed that the power Good is rising in advance with 2.4ms before the output voltage getting and this behavior is same in other Boards also.

Can you Please clarify the reason why Pgood is advance to the output?

Reference:

Channel 1 - IC power supply- 5V- (yellow)

Channel 2 - Enable signal - 3.3V - (Blue)

Channel 3 - output voltage - (Pink)

Channel 4 - Pgood (Green)

LMZ34002: Could you tell me how to determine resistors for EN?

 Hello guys,

 One of my customers was concidering using LMZ34002. But the device output capacitor needs 100uF ceramic.

 100uF capacitor is difficult to buy for them recently. So they wanted to reduce the output capacitor value.

 Then I recommended them to use LMZM23601 like application note

because the device can operate with smaller output capacitor than LMZ34002 base on the folllwing thread.

 The customer has a question about EN function in this application note use case.

Q. Could you tell me how to determine resistor values of RENT/RENB connected to EN pin in Figure 33

on page 25 in LMZM23601 datasheet when we use LMZM23601 like the application note?

   

 I think the resistor vallues to start LMZM23601 can be determined by Equation3 in the datasheet

because the device GND is 0V before switching starting.

 But I don't know how to determine the resistor value of RENT/RENB  for LMZM23601 output stopping.

 Could you please tell me how to determine the resistor values?
