Hello,

My customer designed LM5164-Q1 plus LMR16006-Q1 as below circuit. When enable LMR16006, the waveform of LM5164's SW become abnormal as below waveform. When disable LMR16006, then SW waveform become normal. BTW, all output voltages of both LM5164 and LMR16006 are normal. Could you please check the reason? Thanks.

Part Number:TPS62097-Q1

Dears,

I don't understand why TPS62097-Q1 needs Anchor Pin, the datasheet introduces very little about this.

could I get rid of the Anchor Pin when I design package?

thanks a lot.

LM2743: I need a DC-DC with external reference, can I keep the LM2743 in tracking mode during my use?

Part Number:LM2743

I need a DC-DC with external adjustable reference, but I didnot found the chips that meet my need. Then I found the LM2743 whose datasheet says that it do not use its internal 0.6V reference during the tracking mode. So I am expecting whether I can apply a DC-DC consist of LM2743 and keep the LM2743 in tracking mode all the time and adjust its Vout by my external reference voltage? Thanks

Hi Experts,

I have a question about reverse current protection. The datasheet stated threshold current, 500mA(typ). If reverse current does not exceed IRCB how RCB will work? (For instance, IRCB is 200mA.)

Hello.

I am using LMZM23601 in inverting buck-boost configuration.

Vin: 4.5V - 5.5V

Vout: -5V @ 0.5A.

After I generated with a design from webench,  MODE/SYNC is left floating. But in the datasheet, it is mentioned to not to float this pin. Kindly let me know where to connect this pin?

BQ76925: What happens if a battery with only one or two cells is attached and should be monitored?

$

Part Number:BQ76925

Hello,

as per the datasheet, the BQ76925 supports 3 to 6 Li-based cells.

To me it's unclear though if it might be a problem if a pack with only one or two cells (1S or 2S) is connected. I'd still like to be able to measure cell voltages and, for a 2S pack, to balance them.

- Would the BQ76925 support this?

- If so, are there any caveats?

Thanks for helping!

BQ25601: BQ25601 charge

Part Number:BQ25601

Dear TI support members,

I have an issue with the charging of bq25601.

When i disconnect the plague and battery only supplies the system (load) it works well, the problem is when i connect the plague to charge the battery (in both cases the system is on or the system is off). With thermistor disabled (resistor divider 10k from REGN to TS to GROUND), it seems the only condition where bq25601 charges the battery (3.7 V) is when on V_BUS (or VAC) are 4.5 V (through a digital controlled DC power supply). Actually this situation is variable because sometimes works with 4.5 V on V_BUS, sometimes works with 4.6 V on V_BUS and if in this last case i try to lower until 4.5 V the charge reduces from 400-500 mA to 50 mA even if VBUS_STAT is 011 (PSEL low) and OVP from the registers appears to be in deafult setting 01 (6.5 V): in all this two situations when i try to go under 4.5 V the I_charge reduces to 0 (and this seems to be in accordance with deafault settings). In the situation over mentioned i have another issue: if i try to read the configuration of bq25601 from the registers it is in fast charge, and if i try to write in this register (REG02) another value from the default value something changes, but the actual current supplied (with the load disconnected) is far from the expected value of 2040 mA, that is the default value. All other register values seems to coincide with the expected values. Now i come to what happens specifically when bq25601 cannot rise above 4.5-4.6 V : if i connect a led to STAT when is in the abnormal status (VBUS > 4.5 V) it switches on and switches off at frequencies very higher than 1 Hz (as shown in the pictures below), not fixed, in an abnormal way. The current supplied does the same according to the led indicator. Picture 1) is about what happens if V_BUS rises above 4.5-4.6 V: in blue V_BUS (6.12 V DC), in yellow V_REGN (load disconnected).

Picture 2 is about V_SYS (yellow) with V_BUS 5.42 V DC (blue).

Picture 3: is V_REGN is V_REGN when V_BUS is 5.42 V.

In all this 3 not desired pictures V_BAT remains unchanged at the current battery voltage. In the stable situation (4.5-4.6 V power supply): as mentioned above the issue in this case is that the current value is not as expected 2040 mA as read from the registers (CHRG_STAT = 10 fast charge) versus actual 400 mA, and Vbat value is not as read in REG04 (VREG= 4.208 V) but the battery is charging with 3.9 V. When V_BUS is in the ok condition (4.5-4.6 V) V_REGN doesn't switch as in the pictures, but holds 4.4 V as expected.

Best reguards,

Alpha.

Hi

We want to design an isolated power supply.

DC input range is  60V~160V, DC output is 48V/4A.

Does TI recommend a solution?

Thanks.

Part Number:LM5022

Hi team,

My customer is using the LM5022 now.  The input is 40v~57V, the output is 54.5v, When input voltage is 53.5~55.5v, with 0.4A load current, the output will have large voltage ripple. We know it's because the diode and the loop. But the voltage ripple is too large. Do we have some methods to improve it? Thanks.

Part Number:TPS65086

Hello team,

One of my Customers is using TPS65086401RSKT in their project. They have given vsys 12V and shorted DRV5V_2_A1     and DRV5V_1_6        with LDO5P0 but not seeing proper output of this device. they have followed below sequence:

  1. CTL1 asserted.
  2. Buck 2 enabled (through I2C register).
  3. Buck 1 enabled after 2ms (through I2C register).
  4. Check the PG of Buck 2 and 1 on GPO1.
  5. Buck 5 enabled (through I2C register).
  6. Check the PG of Buck 2 and 1, and 5 on GPO2.
  7. LDOA2 enabled (through I2C register).
  8. Check the PG of Buck 2 and 1, and 5 and LDOA2 on GPO3.
  9. Buck 6 enabled (through I2C register).
  10. Check the PG of Buck 2 and 1, and 5 and LDOA2 and Buck 6 on GPO4

and measure below voltage on Input pins:

LDO5P0                : 5.027V

VSYS                      : 12.35V

LDO3P3                : 3.299V

VREF                      : 1.249V

DRV5V_2_A1     : 5.027V

DRV5V_1_6        : 5.027V

but getting below output:

BUCK1 : No output

BUCK2 : Output we are getting 0.88V

BUCK3 : NOT USED

BUCK4 : NOT USED

BUCK5 : No output

BUCK6 : No output

LDOA2 : Output we are getting 1.0V

They have also done below I2C setting:

  1. to set the required VID on all the VRs used (Buck 1, 2, 5 and 6 and LDOA2).
  2. enabled through I2C .
  3. configuring GPIOs for the Power Goods.

Please help me in resolving their issue..
