Hi  Sir:

      TPS61247 can work on DCM  100% PWM, But we find some chip work on 96% when i want it work on 100%, the Vout is less than The theoretical value. The Vfb should be 0.7. The chip can't reach 100%, Vfb=0.65V.

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering LM25141 and LM25145 and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

At the point of EMI, which is better LM25141 or LM25145?

I can'f find any difference on the datasheet.

Part Number:LM25088

Hi people,

I am designing an inverting PSU with the LM25088. (+15V In, -12V out) and I was wondering....

1) is the thermal pad internally connected to a pin?

2) what should I do with this pad electrically? Can it be connected to the Ground Plane?

Thanks!

In my custom board , CAP1 Pin is shorted , i.e. it directly get connected to VSS even when there is no Capacitor attached, so can it affect the Cell Voltages reading , because from that point my cell voltage readings are coming out to be zero

HIGH BAY LED DRIVER 120W

Hello,

I would desing a AC/DC CC led driver and I found PMP4317.1 in the Reference Desing that could fit the application but I would modifiy di max output current up to 1000mA.

Another better solution would be to make a 480/500W led driver with 4 different control channal with a max CC of 1000mA  with indipendent analog and pwm dimming each.

Could you please help me in this task and give some suggestion?

Thanks in advanced,
Luca.

TPS65217: AC voltage detection threshold too high?

$

Part Number:TPS65217

In the datasheet of the TPS65217, the voltage detection threshold for VAC and VUSB is described as minimal 4.3 Volt.

I would assume this means that the power path would switch on at 4.3 Volt latest (could be lower).

If that is not the case, it is weird in my opinion that no upper bound is given.

In my tests, the device switches on at 4.3667 volt.

Since this is higher than the 4.3 volt given in the datasheet, I'm wondering whether my design is wrong.

Can you tell me whether I should review my design or whether this is according to the specification, and whether the datasheet should contain an upper bound as well?

Thank you for your time.

Hi Everyone!

I recently come to visit this active inrush current limit circuit but curious how it is working . Please feed me some info regarding the working .

is there any application  notes available for this setup, i have searched but i couldnt found nearby sch itself. Suggestion and inputs are welcome.

LM5170-Q1: LM5170-Q1 - Current Sharing

$

Part Number:LM5170-Q1

Hello.

I am using the LM5170 to control a 4-phase buck converter.  The buck is 48V/36V 1 kW.  The controller is regulating the output voltage and it is able to handle transients, but  I am having issues currently with current sharing among the four phases.  My phase 1 and 2 share one controller and my phase 3 and 4 share another controller.  Current is balance between phases 1 and 2 and current is balanced between phases 3 and 4, but the current balance is not balanced between the controllers.  Phases 1 and 2 have way more current in them than phases 3 and 4.

I am using 1 voltage loop to set the ISETA pin for all four phases.  I was wondering if I should be using 2 separate voltage loops, one for each controller?  I do not know if the references are slightly off in the controller and if it is causing a large discrepancy between both controllers.

BQ24172: Minimum current

Part Number:BQ24172

Hi,

What is the minimum current of BQ24172?

(I need a minimum current of 80mA).

From the graphs in the datasheet it seems that the current is 0.5A.

However, i am sure that the current may be lower (of course the efficiency would be low...)

If i cant get 80mA, please advice a switching (not linear) battery charger for such currents.

Best Regards,

Arkadi

BQ78350-R1: Battery discharge FET turns off during shortcut even if ASCD protection is disabled

Part Number:BQ78350-R1

Hello

Ive got a problem with my bq78350-r1 design. Battery managed with Bq78350-r1 and bq769200 powering BLDC engine controller. During engine rotation direction change, controller sometimes kills the battery (DSG FET turns off). If the ASDC protection is enabled, in lifetimes data i can see that it was a Short Circuit and it is reasonable for me. But if i disable shortcircuit protection IC turns off DSG FET too (i checked FET's gate and it is pulled down) for about one or two seconds and then back to normal. In lifetime data there is no sign of any protection activation. What couses DSG FET to turn off? How to disable this?

1.In each of the following cases, the IC2 is damaged;about 5% percent;VIN:9V,  Vout:=15v/-15V,100mA

       a.  when the power was turned on(Test no load or with load  all have damaged);Use a multimeter to test: there is no difference between damaged IC pins and normal IC;

       b. when the power is turn on,VIN=9V,Iout=100mA, after a later,The tps54240 is about 4-5% percent of the damage occurred,I test with a multimeter,pin2 and pin11 is short;

       c. when I test  Short circuit protection,,-15V output  Short circuit protection is OK,but the +15V output  Short circuit protection is not OK,and  +15V output  Short will damaged IC2,Use a multimeter to test: there is no difference between damaged IC pins and normal IC?  why +15V output No short circuit protection?

       d. PIN10 TO -15V waveform as below; and VIN TO -15V waveform is not have any spikes;

2.  I find the datasheet in 7.3.14, when the  Frequency rising,the VIN is voltage falling,so I use the WEBENCH® Designer ,the result Switching frequency<700K,then I use 600K frequency,and test the  result is about 4% percent of the damage occurred,I test with a multimeter,pin2 and pin11 is  not short,but the IC can not work!

3. how to Solve this problem?

Part Number:BQ28Z610

Sirs,

Overtemperature condition does not trip the related FET in both charge & discharge.

Both firmware versions(1.7 and 2.0) were tried  with no success.

Data flash values:

OTC threshold  55 degrees,  delay 2s, recovery threshold 50 degrees for charge

OTD threshold 60 degrees, delay 2s, recovery threshold 55 degrees for discharge.

Enabled protections D OTD and OTC are set.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
