BQ34110: FC not set at the end of charge
Part Number:BQ34110
Hello,
I'm using a Nimh dT/dt as event for end of charge detection. (I'm using the FC bit to stop the charger.)
I had a strange issue that I didn't had previously: at the end of one charge, the FC didn't set and I overcharged my battery.
Is it a bug or does something in my configuration prevents the FC bit to be set at the dT/dt event?
(I attached the datalog file and the last gg.files from the autoexport)

TPS62291: TPS62291 Voltage rating
Part Number:TPS62291
Hi TI,
My customer found damages in the test of using TPS62291.
The output of TPS62291 is disconnected from system using P-ch FET(like a load switch) in standby mode because of Iq.
At the same time, The output of LDO is connected to system.
They are controlled using MCU and simultaneously turn on for 500usec because of turn on time.
I request schematic review whether there is some problem.
TPS2120: Setting current limit beyond Rlm reccomended values
Part Number:TPS2120
Hi,
i'm working on circuitry validation with my client & we're looking into potential methods to reduce current limit of TPS2120 to 650mA, but according to Ilm formula the Rlm recommended value not to exceed 100kOhm. Hence i would like to know if there's any other variables i should look into to meet my target current limit? Also what may the potential implications i face if i go beyond 100kOhm for Rlm? Thanks.
Regards,
Leo
TLV61046A: Minimum on time
Part Number:TLV61046A
Hi TI,
This design uses a TLV61046A to boost a 3.6V to 4.4V output at 70mA.
If the regulator is unloaded, it comes up and regulates fine. However, the regulator cannot bring up the 70mA load.
If duty cycle is lower than the minimum on time, output voltage can be dropped?
Datasheet shows the minimum on-time 150~250ns.
BQ34Z100-G1: Design Energy above Register Maximum
Part Number:BQ34Z100-G1
Hello E2E-Community,
I'm preparing a 7s6p-Pack with 3450 mAh Cells. The nominal pack voltage is 25.2V (the maximal 29.4V)
I've calculated 20700 mAh for Design Capacity. And 521600 mWh (20700 mAh * 25.2 V) for Design Energy.
The max Value of this Register is 32767 mWh. I've already noticed the scale factor, but even if this is set (521600/10 = 52160 mWh) the Value is beyond the maximum value defined for this parameter.
Is there any workaround on this?
Thank you and best regards,
Felix

TPS92610-Q1: Datasheet value overlaps
Part Number:TPS92610-Q1
Hi Team,
Need clarification on below point in datasheet.
The max of V_IL_Diag / V_IL_PWM and min of V_IH_Diag / V_IH_PWM overlaps, which will create a grey state of driver at some voltages. Can you clarify if the data provided in datasheet is correct or not?.

BQ34Z100-G1: BQ34Z100-G1 : Problem with Learning cycle of bq34z100g1
Part Number:BQ34Z100-G1
Hi,
We are using BQ34Z100-G1 in our BMS who should be configurable for any of Li-ion/NMC batteries.
For any new configuration, I need to conduct a SOC learning. This does not work always. I'm using Battery management Studio (bqStudio) 1.3.5.4.1.
I noticed that the SOC learning works only when this register Registers\Control shows a value of 0x0016:
I have no idea who drives this register?
Thanks in advance for your help.

EM1402EVM: Single board with Cell to pack
Part Number:EM1402EVM
Hi there, we are manufacturer of Low Voltage 48V 16s LiFePo4 Energy Storage solutions and currently developing replacement of our old Bms (MAX14921 with passive balancing) to active balancing, What is the easiest conversion from the existing design of EM1402EVM to work in single BMS board mode and capable of moving energy from pack to cell and cell to pack. Also is it possible to use EM1402EVM without 12 battery in stack with 2 or more BMS to transfer cell to 12 and 12 to cell (PACK(n) cell (m) to PACK(o) cell(p))?

UCC28633: Vdd(OVP) detector bandwidth
Part Number:UCC28633
Ulrich, I would still be interested to know what the rough bandwidth of the Vdd(OVP) detector is. This would also be a useful spec to add to the datasheet, in addition to the minimum output capacitance PID-loop dominant pole requirement.
I suspect that the detector is pretty wideband, which would require an adequate margin of safety to prevent spurious tripping due to feedforward (Miller cap effect) through the FET gate driver for example. This type of transient induced on Vdd during FET switching transitions might be a few tens of ns in width typically. Can you confirm that this narrow a transient on Vdd could trip Vdd OVP? This would be useful to know with certainty.
TPS63802: UL Cert questions Related to FMEA Failure Analysis
Part Number:TPS63802
Hi,
Any ideas to help us with the buck/boost. See UL comments and my comments below.
Questions for you:
- How high can the output of the TPS63802 be if voltage at FB is same as VOUT?
- How can VOUT be coupled to EN?
Buck/boost converter:
- [UL] The issue stems from the fact that the resistors in the resistor divider network, used to provide a feedback voltage to the FB line, can be faulted to any value.
- [Me] The concern is, when resistor is faulted, the output of the boost can be indefinitely high. If the resistors meet requirements as infallible component, will the set output voltage be considered max values? This was viewed as acceptable by our consultant. Even if the resistor is infallible, it can still be failed to an open circuit by using a countable fault. See clause 8.5 of UL 60079-11 for more details
The concern is if the feedback divider resistor going is open – output of boost can be indefinitely high.
- [UL] In order to accomplish clamping of your boost regulator for intrinsic safety analysis, you will need to clamp the VOUT, FB, and EN pins.
- [Me] Why FB and EN? VOUT is clamped regardless of what happens to FB, we can increase the resistor value on EN.
Thanks!
Blake

TPS22990: Back feed from output to input?
Part Number:TPS22990
Hi Gurus!
I'm considering using the TPS22990 as a switch to select between to power supply outputs to a common rail. My question is, is the device back-feedable? For example, if there is a voltage on the output while there is no voltage on the input, will the output voltage run through the body diode of the FET show in the function block diagram, page 16 of http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tps22990.pdf ?
Then, how do I make sure I am not ordering the part with the option discharge path?
Thanks so much for your insights!
Keith.
