TL431: VREF at -30 and 85C

Part Number: TL431

Hello,

(1)

Is my understanding correct that over the full range of temperature, VREF will range from Vref_min — VI(dev)_max until Vref_max + VI(dev)_max?
Therefore, for TL431BIDBZRG4, over the temperature range -40 to 85C, VREF may range from2483mV- 4mV up to 2507mV+34mV?

(2)

Will it be possible to estimate the VREF exactly at -30C to 85C? Customer is requesting for the values of VREF of TL431BIDBZRG4 specifically at -30 and 85C

Thank you for any help.

LM51501-Q1: Vout feedback resistor

Part Number: LM51501-Q1

Hi Team,

I have two questions about LM51501-Q1

1. When LM51501 configured in E-call mode, where does the internal logic power supply come from, VIN or Vout?

2. When LM51501 configured in E-call mode, how does it realize different constant output voltage with the internal feedback resistor? From the datasheet, we can set different Rset value to configure different Vout regulation target. Is the Rset resistor same with or related to the lower side feedback resistor? If so, what is the upper resistor value and what is the reference voltage? If not, could you please explain the principle of how  LM51501 realize different constant output voltage? Thank you in advance.

BQ34Z100: About scaling current and energy.

Part Number: BQ34Z100

Hello,

I'm working on 14S8P battery, single cell properties are: 3.6V nominal voltage, 5000mAh capacity.

So, Design capacity and design energy of the battery will be:

- Design Capacity : 5000 x 8 = 40000 mAh. This value exceeds the maximum Design capacity (29.4Ah) that bq34z100 supported.

- Design Energy : 3.6 x 14 x 40000 =  2016000 mWh  > 32767.

I known that, we can scale the current and energy. For the energy I known we can use the Design Energy Scale register but I didn't see any register for scaling current.

Hope my question is clear.

Thank you in advance.

BQ24610: Why AC input has no over-current protection

Part Number: BQ24610

About BQ24610. Why AC input has no over-current protection? ACP-ACN and acset written in the manual can set current limit value. What I set is 4A, and there is no protection when the actual test exceeds 4A. What's the reason?

TLV702-Q1: How many inputs should I give if I want a stable 3V / 300mA? Does the circuit need to be adjusted?

Part Number: TLV702-Q1

Hi,

The PN is TLV70230QDSERQ1;

We use TLV70230QDSERQ1, input 3.3V or 4V, measured output is 2V, EN is 2.8V, how many inputs should be set to get stable 3V / 300mA, does the circuit need to be adjusted? How to adjust?

Is there a corresponding table for input, output, and current?

This is also the case when no-load, not like the problem of overload;

Thanks

TPS2411: current leakage from pin A to pin C

Part Number: TPS2411

Hello,

Pin C is connected to 12V, Pin A is connected to battery(8.3V), from C to A there is a diode inside IC, these will cause a current leakage(~mA).

This curernt will charge the battery continuously, so the battery voltage will increase continuously untill overvoltage warning.

1. Do you have any suggestion to prevent this ?

2. If I add a resistor between Pin A and GND to by pass the leakage current, do you think this is a solution?  How to choose the resistor valure depends on the temparature, IC, and so on variation.

Thank you.

LMZ31710: Which is better? one DC/DC converter or two DC/DC?

$

Part Number: LMZ31710

Hello,

There are two parts on my board and both need 3.3V.

Two parts are functionally separated but physically connected to each other by IO lines.

One part will control internal part  and the other will drive and receive signals to/from outside of board.

Current consumption of one part will be about 3A. And the other will consume about 2.5A.

Is there any difference(pros and cons) between when one DC/DC(over 7A) converter is used and when two DC/DC(4A) converters are used?

Part Number: TPS2388

Hi team,

My customer got the Mark_lim fail error while doing Sifos test.

They also test TPS2388EVM. The EVM will pass the Sifos test after enable Sifos Test Mode.

What is the register setting of "Enable Sifos Test Mode" on the EVM?

What will cause the Mark_lim fail? Could you kindly provide a solution?

Thanks!

Part Number: BQ24780S

Hii Team,

i have some confusion related to the hardware design of BQ24780S:

1) How to calculated the ACDET divider?

2) How to calculated the ILIM divider?

3) If i want to use Battery present indication than should i config the BATPRES pin?

4) Does PROCHOT pin require the pull up? or if i don't want to use it, can i left floating?

5) Can you explain the Hybrid Power Boost Mode, i understand from datasheet is that the booster is only activated when the system current requirement is higher than the input current limit am i right?

6) How to set Charging current and Voltage externally? what is the default state of BQ24780S for charging current and voltage?

Part Number: UCC21520

Hi team,

I got some question about UCC21520's VSSA pin voltage from customer. when Disable pin (pin 5) is pulled up to high, with No PWM input, I found 10.5V at pin VSSA. Disconnect VSSA and still find 10.5V on it.

1. VSSA reference has high level when disabled, is this normal? if it is, why it behaves like this(why not zero volt)?

2. what will happen if I disable UCC21520 during its normal opeartion?

thanks a lot,

PS. CC customer to follow.

Yang

BQ40Z50-R1: Confusing register contents and other issues

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R1

Hi,

I'm currently struggling to understand what the expected device type number is from a BQ40Z50-R1 part when I query it via the manufacturer access block (0x44).

I first write to this register with 0x01 0x00 (device type), and then I read back 0x04 0x01 which should be 0x0104 - is this correct?

On a BQ3050 I was reading back 0x3050.

Hello,

The customer look for Vin (max) = 6V, Iout = 6A, the step of voltage change is 5mV through I2C device.

TPS62866 is near part but VIN can't meet VIN >= 6V spec. Is there any alternative device to meet VIN spec?
