TPS659039-Q1: Power Good Indication

Hi Sir,

I have a question about Powergood indicate pin pull up domain.

As the Device Spec tell us that the power domian and tolerance level of pin powergood is VRTC which is 1.8V, while the EVM board schematic pull up this pin to a 3.3V domain. picture as attached. is there any misunderstand? pls help.

LM431: Stability Boundary Condition for High Iz condition

About stability boundary condition of LM431, datasheet P7 is described only Iz:10mA condition.

Is there the other stability data for high Iz condition? (For example, Iz:22.5mA) 

Is LM431 applicable below design calculator?

If yes and Idiv/Iref become less than 100(Warning), what is any influence?

UCC27210: voltage levels

I am using TMS320F28377D controller which gives 4 pwm pulses of voltage levels 0 to 3.3V. So i have to use a voltage buffer in between the controller and UCC27210. Can i use SN74LV4T125?

LM5060: Support needed

Hi Team,

I received an inquiry from our customer when they used our LM5060. Below is the summary of the application and issue they are facing. 

We are using LM5060 to drive 4 Fets- act as switches.

I set the OCP to about 160A.

Upon reaching that level, I observed that, instead of latch, the gate drive retry and end up damaging the FETs and the LM5060.

BBU_PWR comes from a DC Source.

Q1800 to Q1805 are Power FET that connects the BBU_PWR to the converter.

In case of any fault in the converter the Q1800 to Q1805 will disconnect the BBU_PWR to converter.

 Can you help provide feedback why they are facing the failure?

LM25118: For wide range input

Hi,

I am have been simulating the LM25118 and listed all the details in the excel sheet as attached.

Here there are three cases 

1.The regulator input voltage is 3.7V li-polymer battery operated and in the webench I observed the following behaviour of the regulator as attached in the excelsheet figure 1

where the ripple is around 200mV. 

2.Case 2 where the input voltage is 12V and the webench result is attached in figure 2 of excel sheet. and ripple of 10mV is observed.

3. Case 3 where the input voltage is 24V and the webench result is attached in figure 3 of excel sheet. and ripple of 10mV is observed.

here the webench has provided different component list for three different voltages.But I am looking for a single design.

The load requirement is 5V, 3A power it should provide stable output in all the three cases.

I want a single design for my application and I have attached that in figure 4.

Please suggest if there is any concerns that I need to care so that this regulator works efficiently in all the three apllication

This will be used in a mass production around 1000 piece per year .

so please suggest your valuable feedback ASAP.

Customers are requesting to delay the soft start time of this device.
The soft start time of TPS 56628 is fixed, 0.7 ms min., 1.0 m stamp., 1.3 ms max.
Customer is requesting 1.0ms min. ~ 10.0 ms max.
I want to realize accuracy of about 2 ms min. ~ 4 ms max., Considering variations.
Please tell me a good way to realize the delay of the soft start time of this device.

one customer is design a a project, PCB included BQ25606 and CC1310(wireless part).

when there is USB charging the battery, the CC1310 rx sensitivity became so bad.

Our presentative feeling is charging influence the CC1310 working.

Do you have any suggestion on this and improve the performance?

We are using Bq Studio , and we can't find any Chem ID for our battery ,(chemistry was up-to date)

Hello TI team,

we currently work on a new design  with fuel gauge with following configuration:

3x 18650 Li-Ion cell in series  ( 3.7V, charge 4.2V nom, 3400mAh/cell) >> total capacity 3400 mAh ,battery voltage 11.1 V ,charging voltage 12.6V 

 Therefore we are looking for: 

- a completely standalone fuel gauge that stores all the data about the cell 

- fuel gauge that can calculate remaining time (time to full, time to empty) based on a current charging/discharging rate

- logs cell aging

- I2C communication interface

can I use 27750 for this design.

Hello,

Do you advice and tips regarding the use of P-Mosfet instead of triggered fuse (SFH-xxx) with BQ2947? This kind of fuse is not easily available and we have some false triggering when connecting the cells together to form the battery pack.
