TPS26624-25EVM: Latch off or Auto retry

Hi,
In User Guide (slvuba5.pdf ), U1 = TPS26624( latch off), U2 = TPS26625( Auto retry).
But, Customer test result was U1 = Auto retry, U2 = Latch off.
DS is typo?
Please see P7 Figure 3.
"J4 = 1-2 Position, Current Limit (800 mA) and Auto-Retry"
I think that J4 is compatible with U1(TPS26624 = Latch off). Why Auto-retry?
But this is match with the customer's evaluation.

What is correct?

As customers are confused, please tell us the correct information.

We got a question from the customer about TPS63060.
Could you help us?

[Question]
Our customer want to reduce the capacitance of the output capacitor. If they can keep double pole of the output LC filter, can they use the output capacitor which is out of the recommended range?

 ex. Recommended range: 1.0uH + 44uF (Fp=24kHz)
     Out of recommended range: 2.2uH + 22uF (Fp=23kHz)

 - Customer conditions -
 Vin=3~5.5V
 Vout=3.3V
 Iout=1A

1. In open loop control mode, what's the specific requirement for FB pin series resisitors, since during debug, if the resistor is small, IC can't work. is it ralated to burst mode?

2. could we turn off burst mode by external circuit? if so, how to achieve?

LMZ30606: No Output

Hello Team,

 

We have a problem in using LMZ30606:

We convert 5V to 3.3V by using this chip, and we found that there is no output.

At beginning we thought maybe the INH signal(as red block show) is wrong, and we cut this signal from source, there is still no output. And if we connect it to ground, output appears (although output is incorrect, only 1.35V).

 

While refer to datasheet, chip should be enabled with INH floating, cause internal pull-up exist.

So I want to confirm it from you, if this chip could be enabled while INH floating?

TPS763-Q1: Vout Deviation at Vout = 5.7V

Hi team

customer wants Vout = 5.7V at Max Iout 80mA with Vout deviation = +- 3.5%.

he will use TPS76301-Q1 for adjustable Vout.

D/S says Vout deviation = +- 3% for 5V <= Vout <= 1.5V at 100mA for entire temperature range as below.

My question is D/S also can ensure +- 3% for Vout = 5.7V at 100mA for entire temperature range ?

BQ27426: can it be used in application with more than 2-S battery?

I read the application note 

"bq27426 Gauging Design for Applications With 2-S Li-Ion Battery" http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua857/slua857.pdf

It says that we can use an OPA to measure voltage of 2-S battery.

Then I think it can be applied to n-S battery(n>2) as long as we adjust the voltage divide ratio, right?

Are there any concern that we emphasize 2-S Li-Ion Battery?

LM4040: LM4040BIM3-2.5 accuracy

Dear Sirs,

over a long time we design in your LM4040 shunt references.

For one application (ADC reference) we use your LM4040BIM3-2.5. The Load is a ADC refence input. VCC is approx 5,3V. The Rv is 2400 Ohms. parallel to the LM4040 we have a 1 µF capacitor.

In the last time we can observe an output voltage above the nominal tolerance. For the BIM the nominal tolerance is 0,2%. So we can measure by many of our LM4040 output voltage between 2,506 Vto 2,507 V.

This is over the naminal tolerance from 0,2%!

We measure with a calibrated Keithley 2016THD. Room temperature is between 22 - 25 °C.

Various new combination with other RV for Diode operrating current from 100 µA to 15 mA do not change this unaccuracy extremly.

What is the reason for this voltage divergence in the last time?

UC2825A-Q1: high temperature problem

Hi team,

one of my customers has detected that IC PWM generator reaches quite high temperature at the moment of being powered.

In this application, the PWM generator is controlled by an analog setpoint supplied by our 28335 DSP. If they fix this setpoint to a very low analog value, they inhibit the PWM.

Even when it is not delivering the PWM pulses, whenever it is powered it reaches a temperature about 65ºC.

Is it a correct behavior?

TPS7A37: Input current ripple

My customer has a issue at TPS7A3701.
Input current has a ripple.
Customer used PSU as external power supply.
and he used 30cm cable and 15cm cable.
The input current ripple of using 15cm cable is bigger than 30cm.
Could you give me a advice of the cause, please?

Regarding to ILMAX register on TPS65910AA1, my customer is asking some question. 

They use 600MHz(@OPP100) on AM3554, currently ILMAX register of VDD_MPU is configured to 1.0A(ILMAX = 0).

(According to datasheet table 5-10, VDD_MPU current is 600mA(max) at OPP100.)

(Question)

1) When MPU clock is change to 800MHz(@turbo), should VDD_MPU current need to change to 1.6A(ILMAX = 1)?

Because it is 800mA(max) at turbo mode on datasheet table 5-10.

2) At EEPROM mode, is ILMAX register configured to default value(ILMAX = 0 :1.0A)?

Couold you teach the meaning of absolute max of MAX of Vout 'min(VIN + 0.3, 20)'?

My understanding is below,

> We need use the smaller value which 'VIN+0.3' or '20' dependingon the conditions.

> If VIN = 20V, this MAX rating is just 20V.

> If VIN = 10V, this MAX rating is 10.3V (10+0.3V).

> In detail, If VIN = 19.9, this MAX rating is 20V (not 20.2V).

Is my understanding correct?

Dear All,

We  have designed DC-DC converter using LM5117 IC as per steps given in datasheet. But we are facing some issue while testing it. 

Issue faced:
1) The RT pin is pull down with the resister value of ~22Kohm for getting switching frequency 230Khz. But we got SW freq 110Khz instead of 230Khz.
2) When we applied  36V as Vin, the Output voltage was 14.47V with no load. But on applying 1Amp load, the output voltage dropped to less than 1V.
