TPS92512: Customer not getting correct output current and device is not able to be controlled via Iadj pin

Hi Support team

Trying to debug this remotely for a customer. I have schematic and can share via email.

They are running at 1.8MHz, VIN-28v, Vout is 7-9v depending on LEDs Vf, current is 0.5A. 

they are using a 10uH inductor into 5.7uf. Feedback resistor is 0.56ohms. 

What they are seeing is 0.7A, and adjusting the Iadj voltage from 2~0v they see no change. 

Looking for thoughts, asked for a scope shot of the feedback voltage.

TPS65400: Not seeing EVAL BRD (SLVUAC4) GUI

We bought some SLVUAC4 Evaluation boards and it was impossible for us to see the GUI interface described in the EVAL BRD datasheet in pages 10, 11, 12 and 13.

We installed the USB2ANY and we were not able to make it work.

The only thing that show is 2 buttons that are used to turn on and off the 3.3 and 5V interface which by the way do not work.

We bought these EVAL BRDs so we can use this interface, please let us know how to get it.

My Customer has question.

The customer will set the frequency to 650kHz.
Therefore, we would like to know the accuracy of the frequency setting resistor.
If possible, I would like to set with the E24 series (820 kΩ).
Please tell me how much error is allowed.

TPS22933: TPS22933 and three large coin cells

Can I use the TPS22933 to select between three large coin cells?  

I am concerned the auto-selecting multiplexer will thrash if the three coin cells have nearly the same voltage.

Once the auto-selecting multiplexer selects a channel, will it have enough hysterisis to stay on that channel until one of the others are 150mV higher?

Hi Tiers.

When constant discharge current (about 250mA), SoC is correct working. (for example, SoC 10% at cell voltage 3.644V)

But when repeatedly discharging 150mA for 2 seconds and 15mA for 8 seconds, SoC is not correct at same cell voltage. (for example, SoC 20% at cell voltage 3.644V)

How can I fix it? Please help me.

I using Load Mode is 1.

At this fluctuating current discharge situation, What is right Load Mode?

And In Datasheet (6.3 Current/Power Profiles) it mentioned Load Mode 0 is default, But Table 16-3. In Data Flash Summary it mentioned Load Mode default value is 1.

BQ27421-G1: how to read AverageCurrent()

our customer is annoyed how to read AgerageCurrent() when the 20mA current is drawn from battery to system.

He had checked I2C access but it looks OK, but AverageCurrent() is always 0mA even 20mA current is drawn.

can you let us know how to read AverageCurrent() or does he need additional setting?

UCC27525: how to deliver accurate current ?

they want to know if it is possible that UCC27525 can accomplish this, if the answer is yes, what's the mechanism inside, such as how to balance the influence such as temperature?

Hi,

As per TPS2388 EVM ,  the PSE controller design based on  802.3at, If I connect 802.3af based devices, If any short circuit happened on 802.3af PD device, How It will be detect that shot circuit current in 802.3af?

 If I need to change  current sense resistor in PSE controller as per maximum classification current?  or based on PD Classification resistor it will automatically detect the short circuit current at 802.3af device?

UCC28180: Design calculator for type-2/3 current compensation

Hi team,

There is a requirement to "UCC28180 Design Calculator(xls sheet) "on the ucc28180 web.
The design calculator has been prepared for a configuration with current loop compensation of type-1.

My customer requests us the design calculator sheet for type-2 (or -3) current loop compensation(They are examining the application with  type-2 or 3 current loop compensation).
Is there the design alculator for type-2(or-3)?    If not , could you prepare it?

In the UCC28180EVM-573 manual's BOM list, although not actually installed, there are two components (R1 and C6) with the value(100ohms & 0.1uF)  for type 2 current correction.

UCC3817: Can Rsense voltage be set to 0.1V not 1V?

 Hello guys,

 One of my customers is evaluating UCC3817 using TI official EVM.

 They calcurated Rsense(R14 in Figure 9 on page 16 of the device datasheet) value with the design procedure document in the following URL

and they for the calculated value resistor for R14.

.The EVM worked correctly but R14 became very hot. So they want to change  R14 resistor value to smaller for reducing the the resistor temperature.

 My question is that if R14 value is changed to one tenth of the caluculated value, does UCC3817A not work correctly because R14 voltage is chaged

from 1V to 0.1V? If the answer is yes, why UCC3817 doesn't work? Their peak current is 8A. 

 Could you please give me your advice or comments?
