BQ76PL455A-Q1: have inconsistent power consumption issue

Dears,

We use 6PCS bq76pl455a-Q1 series connection in one battery PACK,for EV BMS application,it's a all in one BMS design,as below picture:

we test find the last one PCS BQ76PL455A who furthest away from the MCU,have a lower power dissipation compare with others, about 2mA current lower. We add some resistance to dissipation this,but can not make the 6 PCS bq76pl455a a fully power consumption consistent,this issue will impact battery behavior.

So, we want to get some better soluation to solve it,whether TI have optimized on this?

Dear Sir,

My customer use BQ25882 to do a design.

They use a unknown standard 5V adapter(5V/ 1A) and D+/ D- both pull-down a 10Khom to GND.

1. In datasheet page-17_ table2, customer would know BQ25882 will detect 500mA(101) or 1A(101) or another?

2. Why unknown 5V adapter 500mA/ 1A  are same VBUS_STAT register: 101 ? 

Please you kindly review & provide your suggestion..

  Hello guys,

  One of my customers is considering using LM5022 for their new products.

 They have a queston as the follow.

 Q1. Can multiple output of LM5022 power unit be tied together to increase the output current?

 Also they have power supply develop plan for another project.

 Their power supply spec is the follow.

 Vin=16V (DC)

 Vo=125V

 Io=8A (No isolated)

 Q2. Do you have any solution to suit the spec above?

      If you have any solution, could you please tell me it?

Asking for the edge detection and delay fucntion IC

Hi Team,
Customer is looking for edge detection and delay function IC. (not just rest IC)
the customer's signal will always keep high or low, when high to low or low to high event can output trigger signal about 20 ms delay timing.

Would you please recommend the proper solution for this?

BQ34Z651: Full Charge QMAX update in learning cycle

Hi There,

I am attempting to run learning cycles on two packs at the moment. One of these succeeds consistently so I have a good idea of what a successful learning cycle should look like.

One the other pack however, when I fully charge the pack during the learning cycle (FC is set) and then rest until VOK is cleared. The QMAX update never occurs (update_status never transitions fro 0x04 to 0x0D), and therefore MaxError never decreases from 100% to 3%. Therefore the learning cycle is unsuccessful, even after fully discharging the pack.

On the pack where the learning cycle is successful the transition of update_status and MaxError is seemingly simultaneous with VOX being cleared. And on other packs where learning cycles have failed in the past, VOK was never cleared. 

So I am not quite sure what is wrong wherein the pack both tells me it has completed it's measurements when fully charged (VOK is set) but also seems to fail at taking that measurement.

I have been using the following documents as references, but they have not been particularly helpful.

Hello Team,

I have question about the timing sequence for Vin and Enable. Do you have any rule the order the power sequence IN (1Pin) and EN (2Pin)? I look over the datasheet but I don't see any rule for setting these power sequence. If I miss setting for the power sequence, dose the output voltage go abnormal?

100ms ON / 100ms Off (PWM Waveform/ The frequency has not yet been determined.)

Input Voltage : 3.7V , Load : Peak 4A , Average 1.5A

I wonder if repeatedly turning on and off again can cause problems.

I wonder if there is something to be careful about in design.

BQ24650: Peculiar behavior on VFB pin

I have designed a battery charging circuit using the BQ24650. I followed the ref design and the charge FET is Si7288. I used the calculation sheet (bqstroller calculation tools_V1.xls - sluc175d)  to calculate the resistor values.

I am using a 4 cell Li-Poly pack. I am currently using a bench top supply to simulate a Solar panel with a max voltage of 22V.

When I power on the PCB with the input sett 18V and the battery pack is semi discharged at about 15V the STAT2 LED lights up. On the FET there are no pulses but HIDRV in high and current flows to the battery.

There is no activity on LODRV. When I touch the scope pin on the VFB pin to measure the voltage, the STAT1 LED turns on and I start getting pulses on HIDRV and LODRV and the battery pack does charge.

My battery sense resistors are placed close to the BQ24650 and I have a 22pF cap across the high side of the 2 sense resistors. 

When I remove the scope probe, STAT1 is off and STAT2 turns on with no pulses on the FET.

When the STAT2 is on, the FET high side stays on and current flows to the battery pack.

Any help or ideas will be appreciated.(Please visit the site to view this file)
